Technical Author = Person responsible with ensuring that all technical documentation is up to date, as well as the company policies and procedures (ensuring that the documentation all comply to safety, health and environmental standards as well as within the Company's own policies). Continued below
Technical Training Coordinator = Person who coordinates and organizes the technical training activities, ensuring that staff are always up to date on technical and procedural requirements.
Tool Pusher (Toolpusher) = person working on the rig floor or in the rig offices; has a good background, which must include experience as driller; duties: handling paperwork and personnel, authorizing supply orders, scheduling the work on the rig, promotions, terminations, supplying technical information and works with the oil company to coordinate plans with the drilling department.
Topsides Design Engineer = Person who creates and designs for facilities/equipment/structures etc. above deck (Topsides).
Tour Pusher = see Directional Driller
Training Advisor = Person who advises on the training needs of staff and/or evaluates the skill level and advises on what is needed.
Training Specialist = Person who provides insight into the specific training options and programmes available, as well as which training would work best for a specific line etc.
Translator / Interpreter = Person who is hired to provide translating or interpreting on site or field between different nationalities hired (often when contract or third-party work is also required.)
Turbine Engineer = Person who coordinates the activities of the Instrument and Electrical Technicians; also, assists in planning the work schedule and determining the manpower needs; also, deals with work permits and determining special requirements.
