Water and Waste Engineer = see Environmental Engineer
Weight Control Engineer = Person who develops and prepares the best layouts for a specific plant/site to ensure smooth and optimum running of the entire project, especially with regards to weight control; this includes developing and implementing the weight control plans, processes and systems. Welding Engineer = Person who evaluates welding needs and implements plans and solutions towards fulfilling these needs.
Well Completion Specialist = Person who understands the well completion needs and advises on the best way to fulfill the needs of the well completion operations/projects.
Well Engineering Specialist = Person who has the responsibility of designing and evaluating the pressure vessels and piping systems, always taking health, safety and environment into consideration.
Well Planning Engineer = see Planning Engineer. Person responsible for the specific planning and evaluating of the well needs, and the execution of these plans.
Well Service Supervisor = Person who is responsible for the supervision of the well completion operations, including the clean-out and/or well test operations; also, constantly works towards improving operations and procedures; also, ensuring operational costs are managed well within the responsible phases of the project(s).
Well Services Engineer = Person who evaluates the well services (pumping and blending) needs and provides solutions and plans to implement greater effectivity and meet these needs.
Well Services Operator = Person who controls the pumping and blending of the equipment for the acidation, cementation or fracturing of the oil or gas wells.
Well Services Specialist = Person who understands the challenges and needs at the well services (pumping and blending) and advises on the industry standards, trends and solutions to these challenges.
Wellhead Coordinator = Person who coordinates the wellhead equipment crew and ensures that all standards and requirements are continously met.
Wellhead Engineer = Person who evaluates the wellhead needs, equipment and operations and devises plans and solutions to meet these needs effectively.
Wellhead Maintenance Engineer = Person responsible for the maintenance of all the wellhead equipment and facilities.
Wireline [Slick Line] Specialist = see Slick Line Specialist
Wireline Engineer = Person who evaluates the slick-line (or Wireline) technological needs and develops plans to ensure greater effectivity.
Wireline Operator = person performing maintenance in the well by attaching the necessary tools to the wireline.
Workover Engineer = Person who evaluates the present operations on a well and develops plans to restore or increase production at the well.
Workover Rig Supervisor = Person who is responsible for overseeing and delegating the daily workover operations at a well (ensuring that the plans for restoring or increasing production at the well are correctly implemented).
