2. Head of Engineering Services with International Shipping Bureau L.L.C from August 2004 till May 2006
Job responsibilities
Develop new services under the newly formed subsidiary of International Shipping Bureau.-Includes Naval Architecture Consultancy, Design, New Construction Project Management, Project Procurement, Professional Man Power Outsourcing, Hull Gauging, Training etc.
Conduct vendor inspections/third party inspections for various clients.
Conduct surveys on behalf of the classification society- International Register of Shipping.
Supervises the activities of the new departments.

3. Project Quality / Site Lead with SparTEC, a subsidiary of J. Ray Mc Dermott on the Spar hull fabrication
(two hulls-Medusa & Front Runner) at Jebel Ali, Dubai till August 2004.
Each Spar hull consists of a cylindrical hard tank, truss and a soft tank & weighing 12,000 tons with a total length of 586 ft. The work scope included structural, piping, E&I, coating and commissioning activities related to the hull.
Job responsibilities
Plan & supervise the daily inspection routines of a team of 12 multi disciplined inspectors.
Ensure compliance with ABS, MMS, USCG rules and contractual specification on fabrication.
Liaison with Client Resident Representative, ABS/USCG Surveyor and yard QA/QC.
Raise Deficiency/ Non Conformance when required and follow up corrective action.
Conduct Audits on specific Level II procedures approved on the project to ensure compliance.
Conduct, hold point & surveillance inspections, witness tests as required and ensure compliance with AFC drawings in the yard and at vendors facilities.
Inspection of materials, equipments supplied by the vendors and verification of certificates and other related documentation for conformance with specification.
Review and approve method statements and repair statements on behalf of SparTEC.
Ensure compliance of documentation requirements as the main contractor of the project.
Review NDT reports; weld summary sheets, dimension control reports and alignment reports.
Review and approval of project certification dossiers compiled by the sub contractor.
Maintain records of inspection and other project specific documentation.
