As a stores person I was responsible for receiving goods in from the customer and checking to make sure we received the correct Qty’s of goods then inputting all the data on o the computer system, I was also part of a team issuing tools and equipment for all different trades that work for the council, Once the tools and equipment were issued to a certain job all the information had to be inputted in the computer system for stock control ect, We also had to stock take the whole stores twice a year to ensure all goods were accounted for,

As transport manager I played a major part in the traffic office I Routed all the vehicles daily for Palletline & General Haulage, We also had full loads & groupage loads unloading & loading daily going all over UK and Europe, We used to ship the vehicles from various ports throughout the UK to mainland Europe, We also loaded groupage trailers in the yard and shipped them unaccompanied from Rosyth Port (Scotland) to Zeebrugge Port (Belgium) Another haulage company in Belgium would unload and load the trailers and ship them back to us, I also played a part with the daily running of Paletline and the problems that go with it, I played a part in the sales side of things as well visiting customers/Trying to encourage new customer and making sure we provided the best service we could for them, I also had to ensure that the vehicles were serviced on a regular basis and all records were kept up to date, I also had to keep records of all the daily defect reports & drivers tacho’s and ensure any infringements were dealt with in the correct manner, There was also the recruitment side to the business, As well as interviewing for driving positions within the company the company also has a driving agency which I also played a part in,

Site Manager

As manager with prime projects I am based in Iraq, We are contracted by several American companies to supply manpower to them, The manpower provided range from labourers to skilled mechanics/electricians ect, We also maintain and build our own camps and camps for the US military, I am site manager of a camp with 700 employees we have to ensure that all the requirements for the client are met and the manpower is provided within certain timescales, We also have to ensure that we are not in breach of contract and deal with any change orders to the contract which happens on a regular basis as the clients demands change on a regular basis, We meet with the clients on a day to day basis to discuss different contracts and any changes that are coming in to affect and what the projected forecast of other contracts will be, We also have to deal with the day to day running/maintenance of the camp which includes dining facilities toilet/showers living accommodation ect, Also all HR matters for the 700 or so employees, We also have construction jobs ongoing within the base which we have to ensure that they are built to the specifications of the client and are completed on time,
