2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]
Professional 2003-2005 Rescar Railcar Repair Longview, TX
Experience Lead Welder and Fitter
Repairing wrecked and damaged railcars. My job required Mig, Fluxcore, Hardwire, Stainless, Stick rod, fabricated parts, read blue prints, rolled steal, operated a drill press and puncher, a lathe machine all in a certain amount of time. I also ran a cutting torch, track torch, used gas meters and detectors to go inside railcars to do a particular job in confined spaces. There was also an X-Ray performed on my welds which was determined if the weld was a 100% and I never failed the test.
2005-2009(part time) Hendrix Manufacturing Mansfield, LA Assembly line welding: welded out couplers for drag line buckets. Also fitted couplers and welded out drag line buckets. It was required of me to preheat everything before welding out. I used Mig 1and 1/16 wire for all the welding out. I also do what is called hard surfacing on all the dragline points, in which the metal has to be heated to extremely high temperatures. For this proceedure I used a 1 and 1/16 inch hard wire with Tunscton with 95 % Argon gas with 5% Oxygen. I also use a Track torch ( computerized torch) to cut out parts for the buckets and couplers.
2006-2009 Helmerich & Payne Dallas, TX Worked as a derrick man on an oil rig for the past two years. My first year I was a floor man and a motor man. I supervised the crew beneath me and assisted the driller when needed. I also did all of the mud maintenance for the rig. I am comfortable with a rig and with the stay of being away from home for a few weeks, as this was required for this company. Due to recent lay offs my career with Helmerich and Payne was cut short. I am looking for an opportunity for a fresh start in the oil field with a good stable company.
