I am a Canadian citizen, looking to permanently move to Almaty, Kazakhstan after
completing my University of Toronto degree in Commerce (accounting specialist, economics
major) in June 2010.
I am a former Kazakhstan citizen, am well acquainted with the city and fluent in both
Russian and English.
It is my intention to apply for a residence permit in Kazakhstan as to retain my Canadian
citizenship.
I have experience working as an intern in the audit department at Deloitte Touche
Tohmatsu in Almaty. Further, am experienced with customer service, book keeping, and
employee training, working as the Head Treasurer at Famous Players in Toronto. I am
proficient with most Microsoft programs, as well as Audit System and Simply Accounting. I
am always enthusiastic and eager to learn new things.

Audit experience
DELOITTE Touche Tohmatsu
Completed a two months internship at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Almaty, Kazakhstan from June 8th 2009 until July 30th 2009. Gained the experience of working in an office environment, assisting the auditors with a variety of different projects, with tasks ranging from data entry, document translation, as well as the creation and utilization of computer based programs for financial data analysis. Further, spent two weeks as part of an audit team engaged in an on-site review of one of the largest banks in Kazakhstan. The job entailed cooperation with the client as well as superiors and coworkers in the collection and proper analysis of all relevant financial data, while ensuring set deadlines are met. The overall experience provided hands-on practice in my field of study, expanding my theoretical knowledge, as well as further enhancing my interpersonal and time management skills.
Treasury experience
Employed as a treasurer at Coliseum Mississauga from May 07 until February 09. Was responsible for the handling of most daily monetary transactions of the theatre. In charge of teams of cashiers of 6 to 20 people, authorizing their cash floats and ensuring each is properly trained to handle a large volume of transactions and duly supervised. Accountable for all deposits and withdrawals made from the vault, as well as for constantly maintaining set amounts of cash float in the vault and on the floor with minimal variances.
Treasury requires one to be a team player- working alongside fellow treasurers and the management team; as well as a leader- managing a team of cashiers which could number more than 20 people on a busy night.
Aside from my treasurer duties I always tried to be available to assist theatre guests when the management team was not around. I would constantly deal with guest concerns and ensure that any arising problem was dealt with in a proper manner. Being of a higher authority I was also one to be approached by cashiers in case of any work related problems.
