Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with more than 6 years of experience in the areas of Project Management, Production Control, Project Control & Cost Control.

Currently I am working in Dodsal Engineering and Construction Ltd., Abu Dhabi as Planning Engineer. The Project covers a pipeline work of 131 kms, piping works of more than 150,000 Dia Inch in stations and terminals and Tank work for Intermediate reservoir.

My main responsibilities includes preparation of Schedules , Progress Tracking, Preparation of Progress Measurement System, Invoicing Procedure, Preparation of S-curves for Progress and Payment Curves, Preparing the Management Presentations to highlight the Progress of the project with all the updated information’s on a monthly basis, Preparation of daily and monthly reports for clients, Preparation of Manpower & Equipment Loading, Preparation of 3-week and 3-month Look ahead, tracking the Engineering and Procurement Deliverables, Preparation of Organization chart.

Working as Planning Engineer in Dodsal Engineering and Construction Pte Ltd. Abu
Dhabi, U.A.E.
Project involves laying of 64” Pipeline for 131 kms and Piping works at Stations and
terminals.
Job Profile:

 Preparation of Various Procedures as per the contract agreement. i.e., Invoicing Procedure, Progress Measurement Procedure, Reporting procedure.
 Preparation of WBS structure. Coordinate and manage the preparation and development of target schedules together with associated information required in the schedules.
 Preparing the three month and three week look ahead schedule.
 Issuing Monthly Targets to the construction team based on the productivity and highlighting the delay in the various activities with the catch-up plan.
 Preparation of Manpower and Equipment Loading and follow-up with HR for the mobilization of persons and equipment as per the loading.
 Preparation of recovery plans in case of delayed activities.
 Preparation of Daily Progress report for H.O. and also for client.
 Preparation of Weekly and Monthly Reports for client, maintaining weekly report on construction progress and specific relevant events impacting the work programme.
 Preparation of Monthly presentation for Management.
 Preparation of Time line Diagram for the various activities of construction.
 Preparation of S-curves
 Review schedule trends to identify problem areas. Monitor actual progress against
planned.
 Preparation of Payment Curves to highlight the cash flow to the Management.
 Preparation of Progress measurement sheet and updating on a weekly basis.
 Preparing and updating the Organization chart on a monthly basis.
 Keeping a track of the productivity achieved on a daily basis and comparing it with the planned productivity. Providing suitable assistance to increase the productivity in case of lag.
 Preparation of Monthly invoice based on the schedule of prices.
 Preparation of Procurement and engineering deliverable sheet and tracking the progress on a weekly basis.
 Preparation and monitoring of the project resources; including construction schedules together with supporting information.
 Review the related documents from the client/concerned parties/ contractor including monthly reports and analyze the content to ensure compliance with contract documentation.
 Prepare progress monitoring tools for the management and monitoring of the above mentioned schedules. Identify deviations (progress trends) in construction and procurement process.
 Analyze schedule impact of changes and variations to the scope of work.
 Software Used: Primavera P6.2, Microsoft Office.


 From January-2007 to March-2008
Worked as Planning Engineer in Petroleum Coke Calcinations Project for Human and Technologies Corp with SKS Group Co.WLL. Kuwait, an EPC Company working for
major clients like KNPC, KOC, PIC, PCIC, and H&TC.

Project 1: Petroleum Coke Calcination Plant Piping & Equipment Erection.
Scope of work includes Piping, Equipment Erection for Associated and Utility systems. Covers a work volume of more than 50,000 DI over a length of 3 kms spread across PCIC, KNPC & KOC Areas.
Material Usage: Carbon Steel & Low Alloy Steel.

Job Profile:
 Prepare daily, weekly & monthly schedule.
 Preparation of piping spool from piping isometrics and piping plans.
 Monitoring the Progress, Controlling the cost and project budget and Schedule.
 Pro-actively identify methods for increasing efficiency.
 Establish, maintain and follow up plans/networks and resources for the project in accordance with the client's Planning Procedure and Contract.
 Preparing the actual cost against the control budget on monthly basis and highlighting the areas of concern.
 Preparation of various types of reports such as welding look ahead Schedule, overall master schedule for piping works.
 Preparation of Weld Maps and cutting plans.
 WBS/Code structure.
 Preparation of Weight age Factor as per the Contract Agreement.
 Preparation and arrangement of PWHT for piping and assisting in inspections of welding such as Hardness testing, Radiography including MPI and DPI as applicable.
 Keeping a track on the variations that occur in the Contracted BOM to enable those variations to be claimed in the variation invoice.
 Preparation of Monthly Progress, Variation & Manpower Supply Invoice.
 Organize weekly meetings for the project and prepare the minutes of meeting.
 Assisting and co-ordination with client and commissioning team.
 Assure that any changes related to the scope of the contract get implemented into relevant plans.
 Preparation of MTO & BOQ for material procurement such as pipes and pipe fittings in conformance with contract specifications.
 Preparation of schedule for mobilization & demobilization of manpower & equipment.
 Control of all Documents received from the client. Holding the documents as controlled set of documents and distributing to the various departments.
 Issue of various formats with control numbers for easy data collection.
 Providing proper feedback for the customer complaints with a detailed Root cause analysis using the fish bone diagram after the brain storming Process.
 Participate, assuring good communication and follow up internal and external activities in the project. Reporting consequences/changes related to planned progress hours and resources according to planned values on a weekly basis.
 Reporting project status to project manager as well as the project members on a weekly basis.
 Provide assistance in the appraisal process for the relevant work discipline.
 Preparation of Final Invoice after Reconciliation.

Project 2: Petroleum Coke Calcination Plant Hand railing
Scope of work includes Sand blasting, Fabrication, Welding, Erection & Painting of handrails
for a length of 5000 meters across various buildings.

Job Profile:
 Preparing overall Project plan.
 Tracking the daily progress.
 Preparation of catch-up plan.
 Mobilization of manpower & resources.
 Proper interaction with client for releases of work front as per Project plan.
 Preparation of invoice based on the weight age factor as per the Contract Documents.

 Project reconciliation for materials & costing.

Worked as Project Engineer in Revons IT Solutions, Chennai.
Provide Solutions with excellent quality in the areas of modeling, Drafting of various piping
layouts for various petrochemical projects.

Project 1: Petroleum Waste Recycling Unit II
Scope of work includes preparation of isometric drawings & weld maps from plan drawing
for Tank & Pipe fabrication, welding & erection. Modeling & drafting of equipment
components & pipe fittings.
