Managed seven construction projects of gas industrial plants in South America (Chile, Brazil and Ecuador). Overall responsibility from project approval, project execution up to plant start up and final acceptance from customer. All projects ended within respective budgets and time schedules.

Main responsibilities:
• Management of all procurement contracts for local and imported equipment, and services required to the projects, such as engineering, civil construction, external consultants;
• Management of the whole Permitting process with the approval of all licenses required for each project by the respective Governmental Local Agencies in South America;
• Management & development of matrix project teams from several areas (IT, HR, finance) in the respective countries where the projects took place;
• Responsible for all communication interfaces with authorities, internal and external customers, senior stakeholders, including reporting to board level in Germany;
• Supported the Financial Manager to obtain financing with lower interest rates for the projects in Brazil with the National Bank of Development (BNDES);

• Managed the selection, implementation & personnel training of new technologies in the production facilities of the Region;
