Valmont Long Beach, CA and Brenham, TX locations. Total construction cost of components $129MM.
Valmont Industries are fabricating and galvanizing electrical transmission towers for Populus Terminal Transmission Partners for the Populus Terminal power plant in Utah.
Served as consultant with responsibility for directing, controlling, and conducting the technical inspection and surveillance operations in support of fabrication and galvanizing of tubular steel electric transmission tower components.
Utilized purchase order and industry codes and standards to establish additional requirements previously not covered in ITP and verified compliance with standards, specs and ITP. Welding performed to AWS D.1.1.
Coordinated inspection activities with Quality Manager and held daily progress meetings with Plant Manager and/or Quality Manager. Reported to client PT.
