My work involves Start-up of expander turbine-driven compressor ,various pumps, start up of lube-oil system, condenser line up operation, change-over operation of pumps, filters, PSVs and sphere, smooth shut down operation, flare light up, operations of MOVs, handling of emergency situations such as power failure, instrument air failure, maintaining process parameters, maintaining filed log sheets, assist instrument crew in maintenance of process instruments, assist mechanical crew in preventive maintenance of equipments.

Job Title: Assaying of Gold in gold bullion, gold alloys and gold jewellery/artifacts by Cupellation(Fire assay) Method.

• ‘Determination of gold in gold jewellery alloy—cupellation method (fire assay)’.
The method prescribed for assaying jewellery in this standard is identical to the method stipulated in ISO standard. Both the methods are intended to determine of fineness of gold in gold bullion, gold alloys and gold jewellery/artifacts as covered in IS 1417: 1999.

Job Profile:

• The gold alloys are inquarted with silver(999 fineness),compounded with pure lead free from precious metals bismuth and other platinum group metals and cupelled (magnesium oxide cupels) in a cupellation furnace (1050-1150 0C)until a precious metal button is obtained.
• After flattening and rolling, the silver is extracted in Nitric acid (two various concentrations) and the Gold weighed.
