I'm a 39 year old male with 5 years experience as a roughneck and roustabout both on land and offshore rigs, I'm familiar with all manor of deck lifts and preparation of drilling materials I'm confident in my abilities and work equally as good in a team or on my own, I hold a current BOSIET survival and medical.
2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]
2006 – to Present KCA Deutag Ltd. Aberdeen
Roustabout: Currently working a 2/2 rota for CNRI in the North Sea. Duties include all manors of deck lifts involving preparation of drilling materials. Cover the drill floor, assist ship and skip, derrickman, well heads, wire line, electrician and mechanic which involves rigging, slinging, lifting and physical work.
2005 – 2006 Bolden Drilling Ltd. Nottingham
Roustabout Pusher: Contracted out to BP at Wytch Farm in Poole. Working a 2/2 rota. Duties included preparation of drill pipes, assisting the derrickman when mixing chemicals and monitoring mud tanks. Covering the drill floor for breaks which as enabled me to gain experience of gas and oil drilling.
2004 – 2005 Bolden Drilling and Freezing Ltd. Nottingham
Roughneck: Working in Cheshire drilling salt wells. Working a 2/1 rota. Duties include working on the rig floor making connections, pipe handling, making up of BHA, assisting the derrickman with mud pump and tanks, house keeping and site standards, use of forklift trucks.
1992 – 2004 Thompson Plastics Ltd. Hull
Vacuum Thermoforming as a CNC Router Operator I was involved in the production of vehicle industry parts. Each part is examined for correct specification on a checking fixture before being individually packed and placed in a carton and labelled. If in doubt the parts would be placed on hold for further examination, or rejected for recycling. This involved a high level of quality control. Other duties included a daily record of production and targets plus general house-keeping.

Off Shore stand-by: As a trainee boatman my duty was to provide a 24 hour fast rescue/close stand-by service to the manned gas installations in the North Sea.
