I have a background in chemical engineering and have over 9 years of sales, technical marketing, operational management and consultant based experience within the specialty chemical water and process treatment industries (Oil Refining applications).

Two of those have been with EnviroTower where I served as a Service Program Director building and managing the installation & field service team for North America, while the remaining seven have been with GE Water & Process Technologies where I was heavily involved in Technical Sales & Marketing, Consulting (water & process chemicals) and Six Sigma quality (certified black belt). Prior to the above, I also served as a consultant in the pulp & paper industry.

Employed by a new/emerging environmentally based cooling water treatment company where my primary focus was to build and manage the day to day operations of the Installation & Field Service team within North America. Applicable responsibilities included:

Build an Installation & Field Service team to support installation and field service operations at customer sites within Canada and the US.
Establish operating protocols and procedures for the I&FS team.
Implement a service based web management platform capable of scheduling resources, tracking customer issues and generating service reports for field reps.
Generate and maintain service revenue within the customer base
Work with the sales team and be accountable to executive team for repeat customer sales within strategic accounts
Provide technical support for customer base as it relates to their operating equipment and open/closed loop cooling systems.
Generate operational status reports for the CEO and Board of Directors. Topics included, customer issue resolution, categorization of operational and product issues in the field.
Own customer satisfaction metrics and develop annual plans to improve on these metrics
Develop and own a service budget with P&L focus

Lean Six Sigma Quality Black Belt, 01/2005 04/2007

Primary focus was to serve a two year term driving corporate projects and initiatives that would yield improvements within the business and satisfy the certification requirements of the Black Belt Role. Applicable project work and responsibilities included the following.

Project Jupiter, Guelph Facility Project Manager/LSS Lead supporting consolidation of overlapping manufacturing portfolios and establish Guelph as the COE for High Purity and EDI/EDR Equipment by designing, changing and/or managing building of:
E-Cell Production Line for current and next generation releases; layout has yielded a 20% cycle time reduction, yielding added capacity for $1MM of revenue
Design, build and relocate a new high purity clean room to remove bottlenecks within receiving and increase its area/floor space by 40%. The relocation of the clean room brought the pre-assembled components closer to the production floor (60% reduction in travel distance) and allowed for the relocation of the PVC production area reducing its distance from the production floor by 90%.

Lean AWO, Burlington ZMP Facility Facilitated 8-member team to increase production through use of standard work and error-proofing best practices. These efforts yielded a 10% reduction in Centrifuge Module rework and 11% cycle time reduction in welding and framing

Lean AWO Team, NAM Manufacturing Worked with a cross-functional team to standardize the shipment of kits and loose parts for Engineered Equipment. This resulted in a reduction of lost parts in the field from 50 to <10 units per month

Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) - Responsible for the specification and selection of an EAM Solution Platform and develop a Multi generational project plan that would maximize the return on a potential $3.3MM in Savings ($650K - Cost of Quality and 2,700K - Cost Avoidance). The EAM solution platform will replace a number of manual processes with and Integrated IT solution that will manage the following OTR fulfillment functions: Customer & Asset Information, Maintenance Management, Manage & Schedule Field Service Activities, Financial (Labor & Cost) Tracking, Performance Reporting, Inventory Control & Materials Management.

Services Portal - Serving as a team member responsible for the development and approval of a Services Portal which will act as the front end to the EAM Solution Platform for all non-essential users. Roles include conceptual development, architectural layout & approval of final product before each multi-generational release.
