1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
Dear Hiring Manager,
I am applying for a full time position in the field of mechanical engineering.
I have been working as a mechanical engineering intern for the last three years. I have worked two years as an intern at Allen Aircraft while being a full time student at The University of Akron. I have worked at Goodrich Landing Gear during the spring and fall semesters of 2008 through the cooperative education program which I have received full time credit for at the university.
At Allen Aircraft I worked in the test lab as well as the engineering department which furthered my understandings of fundamental engineering concepts. At Goodrich Landing Gear I maintained the appropriate engineering documentation associated with blue prints and devised ways to functionally accept non-conforming part by stress analysis and manufacturing processes.
In addition to my extensive experience I have attended many engineering meetings, which have benefited me greatly in terms of problem solving techniques and conveying my opinions in a professional manner.
If you should have any questions or require clarification on any information please contact me at your earliest convenience.
