Professional Experience:

Project control, contract administration, cost estimating, project scheduling, hydrology studies, physic & stochastic modeling, statistic inference, data management and industrial & technical product marketing.

Main Activities Developed:

Work on typical cost reports, cost forecast for committed and “to go” costs based on factors such as quantity take off, exchange rates and inflation trends, quantity variation, allowances, contingency, coordinate, prepare, issue, approval, and follow up of change orders, cash flow forecast short and long terms, for payments and for collects, construction contracts bidding, contractor selection, contract negotiating, work on and follow up invoicing, work on control budget of a project, cost estimate of civil, mechanic and electric construction contracts, approval before payment and follow up contractor invoices, special studies such as cost impact of labor contract changes, escalation scenario study, exchange rate policy change impact, coordinate the approval of change orders for contractors, negotiate and validate prices for additional works, CPM nets scheduling, progress follow up for engineering services, main equipment fabrication and construction contracts, marketing of fire stop products at national level, chemical products sales, coordination of climatic information system, coordination of hydrology forecasting systems, work on hydrology studies and in river mechanical studies.

Contract for Construction of civil and electromechanical works for oil bitumen de-salting and de-hydration plant, located in Morichal, Monagas state Venezuela. Total project cost about 100 million USD. Supervisor Eng. Reinaldo Simoes, Project Manager.

From: Aug. 2003 – To: Nov 2004. Company Riva Mariani de Venezuela C.A. Position: Contract Administrator. Thermal insulation construction works and material procurement contract for HAMACA project, an upgrade heavy oil plant at Jose, Anzoátegui estate, Venezuela. The contract price is approximately 5 million USD. Total project cost is about 500 million USD. Supervisor Eng. Roque Aguilera, Project Manager.

From: March 1998 – to: Feb. 2002. Company Proyecta, S.A. Position: Cost Engineer. I worked with two of the biggest projects in Venezuela at the time SINCOR and VEJOP. Both projects were for the engineering procurement and construction of upgrade heavy oil plants in Jose, Venezuela. The approximate cost of VEHOP downstream project USD 450 million & SINCOR D.S. USD 600 million. My supervisors were Eng. Bruno Moreau (Technip Company) and Eng. Juan Carlos Castro (Dit Harris Company)

From: March 1997 - to: March 1998: Vepica Ingenieros, S.A.
Position: Cost Estimation Engineer. Main projects: PRAP automatic management system of crude and gas for all Venezuela’s operation, Tren C. a natural gas transform line of the petro-chemical complex located in Jose for the client LAGOVEN. Export Port project, a 100 Km railroad line and port facilities to handle coal, located in Zulia state Venezuela, for the client SANDWEL a Canadian engineering and Construction Company. Supervisor Eng. Virginia Bermeúdez.

From: May 1996 - to: January 1997. Company: Inversiones HILTI de Venezuela C.A.
Position: Fire stops Specialist. National marketing of fire stop products. My supervisor was the Technical Manager Eng. Edgar Regalado.

From: August 1995 to: April 1996. QUIVITECA. Sales Representative of chemical products. My supervisor was the General Manager Eng. Juan Nogueira.i

From: March 1991 - to: July 1995 Company: Tecnoconsult Ingenieros, S.A., A Fluor Daniel’s business partner in Venezuela at the time. The second largest consulting company in Venezuela. Position: Intermediate Project ´s Control Engineer. The main projects that I worked on: SUAY project, a sulphur recovery line and several minor repairs of Amuay Refinery ( Approximate cost USD 100 million to LAGOVEN, S.A. a PDVSA owned company, METANOL project, an methanol 2,000 metric tons per day build a oil & chemical complex in Jose, Anzoátegui State Venezuela, a joint venture of Snammpprogetti and Tecnoconsult. Loma de Niquel project, a feasibleness study of a nickel plant in Aragua state Venezuela for ANGLOAMERICA Co. (150,000 m.h., RSI project a construction of thermoelectric power plant and four sub-stations in Cardón ´s refinery in Falcón state Venezuela, for MARAVEN, S.A. a PDVSA owned company, 200,000 m.h. Supervisors Eng. Francisco Gordo, Eng. Martha de Buitriago, Eng. Octavio Gazia, Eng. Ray Smaush (Fluor), Eng. Sergio Toscani (Snammpprogetti)

From: January 1989 - to: March 1991. Company EMASIN, C.A. an engineering consulting company. Position: General Manager Assistant. My responsibility was coordinating the offer process, implant professional services prices politics, staffing of projects and the contracts administration group supervision.
