I’m very interested in this posted position for a Regional Account Manager. I feel it is a good match for my work experience and skill set. I currently work out of my home office as a Key Global Account Manager and have been doing so for over a year. I understand the focus and diligence that is required to be successful. I also have learned to work effectively from the road, as this is often required from a traveling sales position. I’m looking to relocate to the Toronto/Burlington Ontario area to be closer to my family.

To summarize my resume, I’m an experienced technical Senior Sales Manager with Mechanical Engineering and Finance MBA degrees. I’ve been working directly with customers for over 7 years and have grown accounts consistently with a deep understanding of customer needs combined with a keen Engineering understanding of the product benefits. You will also notice that I have been able to adapt to new industries quick and effectively. I moved from heat transfer automotive products to powder metal engine parts to powder metal industrial products. While I don’t have a copious amount of filtration experience in oil and gas, I’m extremely confident that I could get up to speed very quickly as I have in the past.

NETSHAPE TECHNOLOGIES – Corporate Head Quarters, Sellersburg, IN March 08 – Present

· Responsible for three key strategic customers globally in the hydraulic off-highway and outdoor power markets (including first, third and seventh ranked accounts at NetShape).
· Effectively directed European and Asia Pacific Regional Account Managers on key accounts.
· Cultivated production orders on 5 new programs with a customer that had been dormant for 2 years prior. Increased annual sales with another customer by 31% in one year.
· Successfully managed customer relationship through two NetShape plant relocations by providing direction to plant-level managers in engineering, quality, materials, and production while ensuring uninterrupted customer support.

GKN – Sinter Metals Div., Corporate Head Quarters, Auburn Hills, MI June 07 – March 08

· Lead negotiations involving new business, productivity requests, and material surcharges at Ford Engine, American Axle, and BorgWarner (3 of the top 6 accounts at GKN NA).
· Successfully created new opportunities within Ford Engine and BorgWarner.
· Achieved aggressive corporate-directed price increases for multiple customers.
· Member of the Business Process Excellence (BPE) group looking into GKN’s entire quoting process, margin management, and capital utilization. Implemented ideas into existing systems.

DANA-LONG MFG – Thermal Products Div., Rochester Hills, MI Sept. 02 – June 07

· Responsible for Thermal Products global presence at GM; specifically with respect to direct sales, business development, negotiation, relationship building, and presentations. Involved with programs in Germany, France, Japan, Mexico, China, Hungary, and Sweden.
· Provided guidance for other Tier 1 Account Managers dealing with GM domestically & internationally.
· Developed cost models and customer cost breakdown guidelines for other Account Managers.

ACCOUNT MANAGER: Nov. 04 – Oct. 06
· Managed GM direct account (USD$30MM) plus numerous domestic and international accounts.
· Renegotiated Thermal Products’ largest company contract under massive global sourcing pressure.
· Strategically defeated an offshore sourcing threat by deploying data, presentations, product innovation, technology cooperation, testing support, etc. to reinforce supplier-of-choice status.
· Leveraged engineering background by guiding technical team to develop a next-generation product with result that we secured a major new contract in a win-win scenario. (Higher profit margin within customer cost constraints and abbreviated scheduled targets)

SALES ENGINEER: Mar. 04 - Nov. 04
· Provided technical support on 3 major accounts with annual sales over US$35MM while also working to develop several new Asian accounts.
· Built strong relationships with key customers by providing a combination of technical and commercial support across multiple programs and by rigorously demonstrating trust and accountability during all interactions.

PRODUCT ENGINEER: Sept. 02 – Mar. 04
· Managed all phases of product development from project estimating and quoting through product launch using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodology.
· Conceived and implemented numerous improvements in areas of performance prediction, feasibility review, cost estimation, testing, prototype delivery, and drawing policy in order to improve relations with a difficult customer.
