During my roles I assisted SGB in providing guidance in branch excellence for the UK business in labour controls. I also visited Holland with our senior Engineer to comment on a new system SGB were planning to bring to the UK. Our Engineer agreed that the system could be proved on paper, but understood on my recommendation that the system was not very versatile. During this visit we seen and informed SGB of the Envirowrap system which is now widely used
I am used by SGB Project Services on a advisory basis from Branch Excellence, Product Design, Labour Control Improvement and am at present a member of our Investors In People team developing new procedures. We recently achieved the award in June 2009.

Constantly achieving and improving AFR targets set by senior management. Preparation of Risk Assessment’s, surveying and all essentials to running a business are all carried out by me within our branch.
2008 was on target to achieve growth until recession hit the building industry. We achieved an income of 1.8 million with a 39.7% gross margin and £360,000 PBIT. Our turnover in 2007 was 2.2 million. 27% above budget with a 38.4% gross margin and net profit of £547,000 PBIT. Goals were achieved by improved communication and controls resulting in improved moral throughout the workforce.
My team are now in a position where I feel confident that they will continue to provide results with minimal supervision from outside the branch. Thus allowing me to continue to progress my own career in a new industry.
