I. Expediting / Procurement coordinator – Aegis Spend Management (Previously Essar Global Supplies)
Location : Mumbai
(Reporting into Head Procurement – Refinery Expansion project)
Maintain an efficient and auditable expediting trail to ensure final delivery of goods and documentation to the job site within the scheduled timeframe as much as is physically and financially possible
Key Responsibility Areas:
• Implementation of expediting procedures - ensuring compliance to all procurement /expediting policies and procedures are met
• Maintenance of all reporting requirements - development of all expediting plans in conjunction with Expediting Supervisor
• Coordinating between vendor and –
DEC (Detailed engineering consultant) / In-house Engineering Division for Design clarifications and Approvals
Inspection Dept for approval of QAP and other QC procedures and inspection of material at vendor’s shop
Procurement & Finance Department for Commercial issues
Logistics Department & Warehouse for Equipment Delivery related issues.
User or execution / planning department to know the required on site dates so that a minimum manufacturing lead time can be maintained
• Expediting to ensure Supplier Compliance with Contractual Requirements.
• Evaluate Supplier Manufacturing schedule and Progress Reports and Verifying against identified milestones

II. Inspection Engineer – Essar Constructions (I) Ltd Location : Jamnagar, Delhi
(Reporting into Head Inspection– Essar Oil Refinery project – 10.5 mtpa capacity
• Inspection of various materials during various stages of production at vendor’s shop for its suitability in conformance with applicable codes, standards and specification as per the approved QAP, instructions of P.O., and the approved drawing, if any
• Inspected various project materials like vessels, columns, heat exchangers, assembled units / systems, electrical hoists, bulk material – pipe, pipe fittings, valves, etc.
• Review quality plans, quality procedures submitted by vendors for final approval to be in conformance with the material requisition and other applicable specifications codes and standards.
II. Site Execution / QAQC Engineer – Essar Constructions (I) Ltd Location : Jamnagar
(Reporting into Head Quality Control – Essar Oil Refinery project – 10.5 mtpa capacity
Comprehensively involved in project execution and quality related activities in the construction of Crude Oil storage Tanks (80m dia x 20m Ht.) at Vadinar Oil terminal. Also involved in various activities related to Cross country Pipeline, Hydrocarbon Piping, Fire water piping, etc. that forms a part of the Crude Oil Terminal unit.
Key Responsibility Areas:
• Responsible for planning, organising and coordinating with EPC contractor and Nominated Engineering consultants in day to day project quality activities like reviewinng various procedures for construction, approval of related WPS, performing WQTs, study and interpret Project Specification, Drawings and applicable Codes
• Witness various quality control and inspection activities during various stages of fabrication to ensure conformity to applicable specification and codes.
• Assure Quality in day- to- day work in terms of the tools and tackles used, instruments used for measurement and performance of the workers to reduce rework
• Exercise significant initiative and judgement while planning, organising, and coordinating quality related matters; provide technical advice, support, and direction within qaqc area of expertise.
• Devise work methods from several alternatives in accordance with industry and sound engineering practice. Develop strategies for engaging EPC contractor in collaborative work behaviors while maintaining qaqc vigilance of contractor’s work.
• Extensive day-to-day contact and co-ordination with Managers, Engineers and EPC contractor staff on matters related to construction qaqc activities.
