I have completed masters in analytical chemistry and presently working as a analytical chemist in one private petrochemical laboratory in Dubai

My Responsibilities:
 Doing the analysis of process & outside samples by using different laboratory
Instruments.
 Maintain quality records.
 Maintaining, Calibrating, and Operating lab equipments used for testing, like
GC, A.A.S, I.C.P.E, XRF Analyzer, FIA,RON(research octane number),MON,FTIR, OPTICAL EMISSION(metals),PMI,etc...
 Maintain the integrity of samples and sample identies.
 File all test records for future reference.
 Responsibility for keeping all lab equipments and lab clean.
Instruments Handled & Analysis Done:
 Gas Chromatograph-GC (Varian, Perkin-Elmer, HP, Chemito)
Analysis of various Hydrocarbons, Petrochemicals & Gases-- Quantitative
detection of MTBE in gasoline--Quantitative detection of Benzene & Toluene
in aviation gasoline-etc…by using F.I.D & T.C.D detectors.
 Atomic Absorption & Inductively Coupled Plasma Emission
The metal analysis of Water,Lube Oils, Other Petroleum Products, etc...
 X-Ray Fluorescent Spectrophotometer (XRF-Spectrophotometer)
Sulphur-in-oil analysis of different diesel/gas oil, fuel oil etc...
 Viscometer (Auto & Manual Method)
Viscosity analysis of lube oils & diff: petroleum products by auto & manual
methods (U-tube) at different temperatures. (Kinematic & Dynamic Viscosity).
 Flash Point Analyzer (Auto & Manual Method)

of petroleum products and oil & gas production & processing chemical
(All these analysis done by using ASTM/IP methods)

 Water Analysis
pH,Sulphate,TDS,TSS,Oil&Grease(free and emulsified), Sulphide,COD, BOD,Heavy Metals,Phosphate, Fluoride,Nitrite and Nitrate,Ammonical Nitrogen,Total Nitrogen, Chloride, Turbidity,Metals like Ca,Mg,K,Na,Fe,Mn,Hardness of water,Chlorides,Carbonates and Bicarbonates,etc…
(All these analysis done by using APHA 21ST EDITION)

 SRB analysis(Sulphate reducing bacteria)

Preparation of Starkey’s medium, sterlize the test tubes and bottles, Adjusting
The pH of the medium at 7.2, Compare with MPN
 Scale Analysis

Making the solution with suitable mediums and comparing the anions
and cations,Find out the insoluble portion ,loss of ignition,Detection of
heavy metals
