Land Work over Rig 248 and Rig 1
Varied duties with this project encompassed the maintenance and calibrating of all gas detection, maintenance of the breathing air systems, and the training of all personnel in the safety procedures for both work and emergency. The development of work and emergency procedures was accomplished with close cooperation between Saipem and the operator (KPObv), as the oil, gas and condensate field was continually undergoing progressive growth in all services; many of which interacted with and influenced the working environment on the rig locations. This project provided many challenges to accomplishing the achievable goal of a safe, profitable, and accident free work environment. My involvement over the two years had a positive influence in raising the level of safety standards and awareness among all personnel.

Production platform Delta Explorer.
Safety consultant for the production platform pumping sour crude oil to an FSU. This project also involved the intensive construction of an additional platform for the erection of a coil-tubing unit along side the existing platform. My duties entailed the safety supervision of both projects.
