 Acted as owner’s representative in cargo damage control and claims prevention. Prevented cargo from getting damaged at all times. Prepared Mate’s Receipt for successful endorsement on Bill of Lading. Effectively carried out vessel’s Draft Survey for daily cargo reporting to various parties.
 Managed client relationships across a diverse portfolio of companies such as Fednav, CP Ships, P & O Nedlloyd, Nippon Steel, Jindal South West and SICAL; successfully extended service contracts with a number of clients resulting in additional revenues.
 Entrusted with wearing of multiple hats, acted as head of department and in charge for:

 Decide on the vessel's routing i.e., plan the voyage by deciding on the vessel's route with least fuel consumption and voyage days without compromising on the safety. Improved passage plan which led to tremendous savings by increase in speed and reduction in distance covered.
 As vessel’s communications officer, coordinated and communicated with authorities and other stations.
 Played a vital role in instituting ISM Code and PMS implementation on two new deliveries and one management change over to PONL.
 Major role in process analysis and training to facilitate cost reduction and safety improvement. Successfully passed numerous audits, surveys and inspections. Ensured impeccable standards in safety and cost reduction by encouraging adherence to right processes.
 Principal role in analyzing inventory replenishment requirements for safety equipments, stores, charts and other equipments.
 Point of contact for port authorities for cargo operation and safety issues.
 Managed major refurbishments such as fitting of cranes, inspected drawings to analyze gaps in construction. Analyzed gaps for improvement in training conducted by various means.
 Successfully obtained promotions within first four years of employment- got promoted from Junior Officer to Third Officer, thereafter rose to the position of Second Officer.
