THE ROLE
Carries out the corrective and preventive maintenance and repair of various types of instrumentation in the entire Refining & petro chemical complex, which includes the regular monitoring and rectification of defective instrument equipments, calibration, disassembly, repair and reassembly of equipment and assisting in the installations and testing of new instrumentation

I am responsible for following area
1-Ethane Cracker
2-HOFCC
3-MEG & PO Plant
4-Alkylation Plant

REGULAR ASSIGNED DUTIES
 Complete instrumentation activities per Lead Technician's direction and according to the Coordinator's daily scheduled
 Perform and direct maintenance & repair of instruments / equipments in allocated areas
 Carry out any modifications requested
 Assist direct supervisor in preparing daily/monthly progress reports
 Request instrument spare parts, tools and test equipment
 Perform proper handover of unfinished priority work when shift is completed
 Perform repairs to the quality standards of established national and international codes of practice as they apply to refinery and port instrument installations.
 Following company policies & procedures
 Any other task assigned by the manager
 Provide on the job training to Saudi National Trainees.
 Observe recognized safety practices. Promote and encourage safety among colleagues. Maintain site and workshop cleanliness
 Determine that the correct job tools, equipment, safety gear and materials are available based on the jobsite requirements.
 Perform Technical investigation & Root Cause Analysis
 Assist the Lead Technician in arranging materials & tools for major job commitments.
 Assist Lead Technician in providing information to revise drawings and technical document.
 Responsible for the support of Company Safety, environment and Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to his job as spelled out in Management system documentation, policies, procedures, local documentation, Management System Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents.


ACHIEVEMENTS

 Good working knowledge of various process control instruments
 Experience in checking, calibrating and repairing control instruments
 Understanding of area classification and safety requirements.
 Capable of reading and understanding P & ID s, schematic, logic single line wiring diagrams/drawings. Working knowledge and understanding of Digital Electronics basics
 Experience in using Electronic test equipment for trouble-shooting / testing purposes
 Good knowledge in DCS, PLC and ESD’s of major international makes
 Working knowledge and understanding of various types of tank gauging systems like SAAB
 Perform Continuous Improvement : Improve Reliability of Equipment/Process, Improve Safety, Improve Maintainability, Reduce Cost, Active participation in Major Development Projects
