I took a year out to travel Thailand, Australia and New Zealand experiencing the various cultures and different ways of life. During my travels I found it easy to get on with other people in the surreal environment in which I was living, e.g. living in shared space with strangers from all different walks of life, getting along and becoming close friends. Ultimately the whole trip was a confidence booster and an eye opening experience.

Served a four year “Modern Apprenticeship” during which I developed the skills to produce; pressure vessels for various industries, ranging from pharmaceutical/ petro-chemical to water/ nuclear, manufacture large skid which incorporates vessel pipefitting and fabrications, meeting the demanding varied specification of the customer, upholding all company guidelines and global engineering standards. Also during this time I studied at Babcock Lauder Training (BLT) on a day release system where I completed all relevant SQA modules that were required for me to achieve my apprenticeship.
