In brief, I am having 19 years (13 years Middle East and 6 years India) of Operational and general maintenance experience in Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals and Steam Generation (Gas & steam turbines), Utilities & off sites.

I am an Electronics and Communication Engineer and studying in B.Tech Chemical Engineering.

Presently I am working with QATAR CHEMICAL COMPANY LTD, (Joint venture of CHEVRON PHILIPS & QATAR PETROLEUM) QATAR in Operations-Production.

I have been transferred to Normal Alpha Olefins plant for Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Operations in QCHEM-II.
I have attended Normal Alpha Olefin Licensing Training in Chevron Phillips, Cedar Bayou, Texas, USA.
Served as Acting Senior Production Engineer in Operations—Field &Control room, Maintenance Coordinator during Turn around jobs, Board operations in DCS-Honeywell-TDC 3000 series and Emerson Delta-V.

Beside to my operational experience, I have actively participated in P&ID review, DCS Graphics, PHA & HAZOP reviews in Milan, Italy with our EPC Contractor Tecnimont, Italy for Utility and NAO plant.

I have been a member of Emergency Response Team in Fire Fighting. I had Fire fighting and Emergency response training in A & M University, Texas—USA.

Trained and certified in First Aid from St John Ambulance Canada.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

 Presently working with Qatar Chemical Company (Q-CHEM.) Doha, Qatar since November 2001.
Qatar Chemical Company Limited (Q-Chem) is a joint venture of Chevron Phillips and Qatar Petroleum. The plant is being built by KBRT (Kellogg Brown & Root, Technip was the EPC contractor) to produce 500kt/y of Ethylene, 453 kt/y of Polyethylene and 47kt/h of 1-Hexene and other associated process and offsite units will include AGRU and SRU.
Q-Chem II is being built by Daewoo (Korea) and Tecnimont (Italy) to produce Polyethylene and Normal Alpha Olefin (NAO) Unit.

2007 to 2008 worked as a Utilities Representative for Qchem II project with our EPC contractor after that I have been transferred to Normal Alpha Olefin (NAO) plant for Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Operations

Area of Responsibility & Nature of Work:

As a Shift Supervisor:

 Conducting tool box meetings with shift operators and contractors
 Prioritising and executing operation and maintenance activities
 Updating the plant status in the managers’ meetings
 Issuing permit to work and confined space entry permits
 Observing and auditing the field activities
 Preparing PRV tracking sheet for PRV preventive maintenance jobs
 Conducting safety audit on maintenance and operation activities.
 Manpower planning and scheduling.
 Taking classroom training for new operators specially Nationals.
 Preparing maintenance work order by entering SAP notification.
 Monitoring LIMS report and take corrective actions according to analysis.
 Assumes role as Emergency Control Centre Coordinator during plant emergencies, assisting Incident Commander.
 Evaluating operator’s performance appraisal both interim and final.
 Attending “Why Tree Analysis” for improving process and plant safety.
 Forming team to conduct brain storming session for trouble shooting.
 Assisting plant management to implement ‘Operation Excellence” (OE) audits item and “Process Hazard Analysis” (PHA) followup items.

As a Utilities Operations

 Participate in tool box meetings at the beginning of shift to enhance safe operation by shift crew.
 Operation of Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU) - KTI Technology, Thermal and Claus Reactor used for Sulphur Recovery, Tail Gas Treating Unit (TGTU), and Degassing Tower.
 Operation of Sulphur Pastillation Unit ( Sulphur Granulation)
 Continuous operation of all utility units and related equipments in the plant. Following are the list of units under my operation.

 Nitrogen optimisation to avoid unit going turndown mode.
 Ensure compliance of Health, Safety & Environment rules and Environmental policies whilst carrying out my responsibilities.

Special Assignments:

 Q-Chem II Project: From Jan 2007 to March 2008 worked as a Utilities Representative in Client side. Participated in HAZOP, SIL’s, AOA, 3D Model Reviews in Milan (Italy) with EPC Contractor Tecnimont, where the detailed Engineering for this project is carried out. Assisted in reviewing P & ID’s and ensuring that the contractor is engineering the plant as per specification. At site developed SOP’s, Operating Manual and Training Module is my major responsibility. Well conversant with Emerson Delta V DCS operating system, which is used for this project. Participated in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the Emerson system in Milan, Italy.

 Responsibilities in Site: Reporting to construction Superintendent and Project Manager Everyday. Duties involved mainly as a DSR (Designated Site Representative) from Q-Chem I side to extensively involve in working for the Pipeline Tie-ins between Qchem I and Qchem II. Arranging & Scheduling training for the construction crew at the site, so that, they will be qualified to work in Qchem I, Facilitating the project job in the Qchem I running plant.

 Scheduling meeting with the vendor companies and their sub contractors for discussion of JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and Method of Statement for the task in which they are going to perform.

 Turn around Coordinator: Got opportunity to work as “Turn around Coordinator” for Utilities during the month of April-2004. Turn around assignment includes Procedure preparation, Conducting JSA meetings; Work scheduling, Schedule for unit shut down & start up, Manpower planning & scheduling and Training the supervisors / Sr. operators for Turn Around activities.

 Utilities Maintenance Coordinator: Entrusted me with the responsibility to work as “Utilities Maintenance Coordinator” for six months from July-2006 to December-2006.
Conduct daily meetings with maintenance planner, I&E Engineer and Mechanical Engineer to plan the next day’s maintenance activities.
Issue daily instructions in regard to isolation of equipments to operations personnel.

 Q-Safe Observer: Undergone Behavioural Science Technology (BST) training and became an active member of company’s Q-Safe Observation process. Further, became an Improvement Team member and received the responsibility to coach my colleagues to carry out quality observation.

 H2S Awareness Campaign: Member of the Steering Committee for the H2S Awareness Campaign. I took the responsibility of designing, H2S awareness posters as part of the programme. This programme was concluded successfully with appreciations from other departments.

 Standard Operating Procedure: Prepared many Standard Operating Procedures for utility section according to OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) standards. Examples – Boiler Feed Water System, LP Condensate System, Instrument Air System etc.

 Continuous operation and Monitoring the process parameters of Multi Stage Flash Type Evaporators (MSF) with Co-generation cycle of Back pressure Turbines, Combined cycles (Gas/Steam Turbines) with Waste Heat Recovery Boilers, Air Compressor and Air dryers.
 Analysis and chemical control in boiler feed water; blow down, super heated steam, turbine condensate and service water system.
 Distiller analysis of product water, brine heater condensate and seawater intake system.
 Routine operation & analysis in hypo chlorination plant and acid cleaning in electrolysers.
 Controlling the Blending plant in which the high purity water is passed through CO2 towers, Lime stone towers and adding caustic soda for Ph correctional as well as sea water blending and sodium hypo chlorite solution.
