I have been working in the offshore oil industry as a Radio operator / Administrator for the last 12 years since leaving the Army during that time I have worked on all types of vessel / installation and on a number of different systems each differing in regard to which company I was employed by, most of my work has been ad hoc or relief work for established long term crew members and I'm hoping for a chance of full time employment with a company with which to hone my skills and go forward with my employer.
I can offer to any employer reliability, good man management skills, a commitment to quality assurance and a willingness to expand on my duties.

Employed as Radio op on a production platform off Den Helder and doubling as standby Medic if required in an emergency due
to the small size of the crew onboard
Heerema SSCV Hermod
Employed as Radio Officer onboard the worlds second largest crane vessel undertaking all normal radio officer duties for a crew of 400 whilst undertaking its platform decommissioning projects in Norway, dealing with a large daily amount of crew changes and normal duties such as the responsibility for the maintenance and operation of a full GMDSS installation consisting of MF,HF and VHF radio and DSC units, IMMARSAT A,C and KU Band satellite systems, the organization of helicopter and personnel logistics, compilation of POB / Lifeboat lists and Hotel plans and computer based administration.

Employed as relief Radio Operator onboard a semi sub duties as above
Borgholm Dolphin
Employed as Radio Officer / Heli Admin working on a accommodation barge with a POB of 420, responsible for all flight / personnel logistics including cabin and lifeboat allocation dealing with anything from 6 – 12 flights per day with a large turnover of personnel as well as all normal communications upkeep and maintenance

Worked as ad hoc Radio Op on all Shell platforms in the Brent and Cormorant fields rotating all between each platform on a three week rota responsible for all flight and personnel logistics including cabin / lifeboat and flight allocation

Enlisted in 1984 into the regular army. After completing the basic syllabus I trained in all aspects of military radio operations including location, selection and control of remote broadcasting stations, maintenance and servicing of equipment. Employed in a signal position mostly in a self supervisory role in both British and French airborne units in the United Kingdom and abroad. Active operational experience gained during service in Northern Ireland, Bosnia and Rwanda among others.
