Geologist by profession with 7 years experience in coal exploration, mining and beneficiation. I have completed the geological cycle because i have exploration, grade control, modeling (Minex5),mining and beneficiation so i can survive in any coal exploration and mining expedition.
2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]
I started studying geology in 1998 and every university vacation, i would get experiential training over my four years stay at varsity. I was appointed junior geologist at BHP Billiton Optimum Colliery in 2002 and later promoted to Mine geologist position. I moved from BHP and joined Xstrata coal on a role of a Divisional(Chief) geologist at the newly established Goedgevonden colliery. A senior opportunity came through from Total Coal and i am currently a senior operations geologist responsible for 3 shaft with a total number of 11 sections. I have both UG and OC mining experience. In total i have been a coal geologist for 7 years.

I hold a BSc. Honours degree fron the University of the Free State in south Africa. I started as a junior eologist at BHP moved to Xstrata Coal and now with Total Coal SA. I have been trained to be an exploration geologist and ran the BHP Optimum colliery extension exploration programme, mineral resource optimisation at BHPs Middelburg mine, was the only geologist at the start up of the Goedgevonden colliery complex and now heading Total Coal SAs extension projects. I have been trained in data capturing,sorting and management (GBIS7) and resources & reserve delineation and modelling on Gemcoms Minex5. i can report mineral resources and reserves according to the JORC and SAMREC codes.
