| 1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory] |
To
Future Employers
Presently, pursuing M.Sc Maritime Operations and Management at City University London, and looking forward to complete the course by February 2010 with expected result 2:1 (Merit). Have passed all the core and elective modules and at the moment, writing my thesis (dissertation) as an essential component to complete my Master’s study. The area of research and title for which is “Decommissioning of Offshore Marine Structures: Developing a set of Guidelines for Marine Warranty Purposes”
I have special inclination towards both the technical and commercial aspects of Marine business, as being and having sailed as Marine Engineer onboard. Also, during my traineeship with Jayesh Shipping, I was directly working under Marine Technical Superintendent; which gave me a very broad understanding of the technical responsibilities involved in the operation. One of such important responsibility was to keep the vessels to the class standards and carry out required surveys to ensure smooth operations.
Also, in the process of being considered to be qualified as Associate Member with the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) and do like to actively participate and attend various presentations, talks, conferences, etc which are hosted by Institute and other professional bodies. Also, help Regional Coordinator of Young Member’s Network (IMarEST) in organising such events whenever possible.
I sincerely hope to be able to use my own creativity and enthusiasm along with both my technical and commercial knowledge to support the ongoing success of the company and make a positive contribution in the years to come. Looking forward more experience or projects which involve heavy lift planning and operations. In addition, I would equally interested to undertake any commercial ship operation jobs. I’m also willing to relocate or work in London office and/or travel on timely basis, if required. Would be very happy to discuss my application and/or would be available in April ’10 for further interview.
