Please accept the attached resume as my expressed interest in working with your company. I am a UT-Austin grad, currently residing near Nashville, TN. I completed my MBA in 2006 with focus on International Business and Quality. I'm a certified Master Black Belt, and Project Management Professional.

My background includes over 15 years of Power Generation / Oil & Gas experience -- starting in a hands-on technical/design engineering capacity with GE Energy, then becoming an internationally based site project manager executing the repair, retrofit, and installation of turbo-machinery in power generation & gas compression applications. To develop my career, I pursued a commercial operations position with Solar Turbines as a Sales & Marketing Senior Applications Engineer -- focusing on the Oil & Gas market. I then transitioned back to GE to provide technical advice and direction to over 125 Customer Sites with LTSA/O&M contracts, which rapidly transitioned into a Project Management position -- executing O&M/LTSA contracts (of particular note was the Baglan Bay Project, which was the first Gas Turbine in the world with steam cooled rotating components and over 500 MW on a single shaft in combined cycle operation).

The visibility and success of the Baglan Bay project resulted in a promotion to General Management -- managing the TM2500 Program for GE Energy Rentals ($70 MM in Sales for 2002), which is a Trailer Mounted LM2500 configuration: ~ 20 MW of temporary power per Unit (35 Units in the fleet). Upon reorganization of the Energy Rentals Division, I accepted a position with GE Oil & Gas Quality as a Master Black Belt & Global QA Manager -- focusing on Global Customer Quality and Quality Assurance -- driving process improvements to Customer fulfillment issues and incorporating these improvements into the Quality Management System.

I’ve been recently separated from the Wood Group - Gas Turbine Services division after 3 years of employment, as the division is reorganizing by matrixed functions rather than verticals, and my position was affected. A brief review of my attached info should communicate that I have a solid technical core competency in rotating equipment, with proven business development skills, and a drive to succeed. TECHNICAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Wrote and compiled the official, GE Installation Procedure for the Dry Low NOx I System, exclusively for the Tokyo Electric Power Company (actually translated into Japanese). This procedure was followed by several seminars and a three month field retrofit, with additional functional and emission testing of this equipment - all in Japan.

Completed a Major Overhaul of a 15 yr. old, neglected GE MS 3002J Gas Turbine in a remote, Sahara Desert, Algeria location. Provided on-the-job-training for 10 novice Mechanics who provided the direct labor.

Commissioned a GE Mark V-B Control System coupled to an MS 7001EA/7A6 Generator Set with Dual Fuel and Dry Low NOx I.

Field support for GE Combustion and Power Plant Engineering during the first commissioning of the "F" class Gas Turbine with Dry Low NOx I in Ildo, Korea. Required elaborate GE/Client contract negotiations.

Provided Technical Direction and Project Management for several Major Overhauls, Hot Gas Path and Combustion Inspections, on GE's entire line of Gas Turbine equipment, in both Domestic and International locations (some extremely remote) -- where both foreign and domestic, union and non-union, craft labor was utilized during many of the same projects.

Resolved a Forced Outage of a recently uprated GE MS 5001 Gas Turbine in three days. Required partial dismantling of the Unit, along with trouble shooting of an archaic GE Mark I Control System.

Retrofitted five GE MS 7001EA/7A6 "Trains", with a Hydraulic Ratchet System mounted to the Accessory Gear Box, while simultaneously conducting training of this procedure to two other GE Engineers -- Becancour, Canada.

Supervised the "Hi-Tech" Uprate of two old GE MS 5001 Gas Turbines in the GE, Puerto Rico Service Shop. Affected the field, re-installation of one of these Units, which required the complete refurbishment of the Generator, Exciter, Load and Accessory Gear-Boxes, and the entire Accessory Base.

Field Retrofit (mechanical and electrical) of three GE MS 9001E Gas Turbines to Dry Low NOx I configuration -- Neuquen, Argentina. Required a tremendous amount of re-engineering "on-the-fly".

Conducted a formal, two week, Gas Turbine Technology Seminar for Lagoven Oil Co., Venezuela (without any prepared media, as it became lost in transit -- Hurricane Andrew).

Coordinated all Electrical, Mechanical, and Controls issues involving work on three Units simultaneously -- St. Thomas, USVI. Addressed a nearly overwhelming barrage of technical problems regarding a newly installed Alsthom Unit (GE Licensee in France), which was not quite Americanized. Concurrently retrofitted the other two Units with Simplex Modifications, which included the Universal Liquid Fuel System. Delicate negotiations, and Unit juggling, were required to keep the work moving while maintaining on-line status.

* Commissioned an Allen Bradley Control System to a refurbished GE MS 5001B / Frame 8, Hydrogen Cooled Generator. This was the first Allen Bradley System ever used to control GE equipment. The associated Seal Oil System was archaic, and the Generator was intended to turn clockwise. These issues, as well as many others, presented a very interesting challenge during the winter of 96’ in Hungary.

* Reviewed and commented to technical specifications, and generated proposals, for both domestic and international clients in the Oil & Gas business. Provided Sales support in Customer meetings. Provided complete project definition to provide for a smooth transition into Project Management.

* Provided Technical Advice and Direction for 125 LTSA Sites Worldwide. Minimized commercial exposure by ensuring Site personnel fully understood all technical details, so that they could make informed decisions with a full understanding of any risk involved.

* Executed the O&M/LTSA Contract for the first Steam Cooled Gas Turbine Combined Cycle Power Plant – GE MS 9001H, 525 MW on a single shaft in Wales, UK. The Project was completely financed and operated by GE until completion of a 2-year trial run, after which it was purchased by British Petroleum Chemicals LLC.
