1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

Dear Sir/Madam,

Currently, I am under contract with Saudi Aramco Oil in London as an Executive Assistant/Project Assistant. I work to maintain the smooth operation of the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Business Research Centre (KAPSARC), a project being constructed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I report directly to the Senior Engineers and Project Manager while also looking after a team of 12 project engineers and six cost specialists. My duties include managing diaries, organising personal affairs (e.g. relocation, UK visas, transport, purchase of household items, schools, medical and various requests), project correspondence and administration. Daily responsibilities include typing, logging and distribution of necessary documents, collating and logging data, issuing and maintaining expenses, answering phones, liaising with consultants internally and externally, organising meetings and teleconferences globally, assisting in travel arrangements and visas to and from Saudi Arabia for consultants and internal staff.

Previously I worked for the BBC looking after a team of seven Lawyers in Programme Legal Advice and the Head of the Department as a PA, Researcher and Team Assistant. My key responsibilities were to manage the office and administration of the department and carry out duties for the solicitors. Other important requirements included coordinating legal hearings and legal conference calls, to be a point of contact for all enquiries, to liaise with media on press related issues and research previous court verdicts/cases/news stories requested by the solicitors.

Over the years I have worked as a Print and Broadcast Journalist and Entertainment Editor in Australia. Additionally, I have worked many years within an administration capacity as a PA/EA for Managing Directors and high-level Executives in energy, media, finance and foreign emissaries.

I believe I have excellent client liaison skills and aim to uphold an extremely high standard of work in whatever project I undertake. I have strong computer literacy skills, working with both Apple and Microsoft software programmes. I am extremely organised and hard working, have excellent written and oral communication skills and am always willing to take on new challenges. Lastly, skills obtained as a journalist have been extremely beneficial. These include the ability to work in a fast paced environment, often under pressure to strict deadlines. I believe these qualities make me an ideal candidate.
