JOB EXPERIENCE SUMMARY

1996 – 1997 Lokit Polymer Pte. Ltd. (Mechanical Engineering Technician)

1999 – 1999 Apprentice in Malaysia Shipyard & Engineering, Pasir Gudang.
Undergone training in Marine Repair Division on various aspects of
ship and machineries repairs & fabrication. Also trained in dry docking
process of ships.

1999 – 2000 MISC Bhd. Cadet engineer on a container ship under 2nd Engineer.
Trained in all aspect of machinery room operation and maintenance.

2001- 2001 MISC Bhd. Engineer in charge of maintenance & repair of oil purifiers,
garbage incinerators and 20t/hr steam boilers.
Assistant in engine room watch keeping duties and tank soundings.
Assistant to day worker in fabrication and repair of piping systems
such as hot water piping, steam piping, oil piping, hydraulic piping.

2001-2003 MISC Bhd. Engineer in charge of maintenance and
repair of steam boilers, air compressors, pumps and oil purifiers.
Machinery space watch keeping engineer.
Inventory and stock keeping of all relevant spare parts.
Planning and executing Maintenance System and Repairs.
In charge of boiler water and cooling water treatment.

2003-2006 MISC Bhd. 3rd engineer – reported to 2nd engineer.
In charge of maintenance and repair of inert gas plant, water tube
boilers, exhaust gas boilers, air compressors, diesel generators,
distillation plant, heat exchangers & control air supply system.
Senior watch keeping engineer in charge of engine room.
Planning and executing planned maintenance system.
Inventory and stock keeping of relevant spares and stores.

2006 -2008 American Eagle Tankers. As 2nd Engineer, reported to Chief Engineer.
At Supervisor level assumed organization & execution of the watch
keeping, machineries operation, maintenance and daily work delegation.
Assumed full responsibility for the maintenance, operation & inventory
control of Main Propulsion Plant, Oil Water Separators, Inert Gas
Generators and Steam Turbine Pumps & Electric Generators.
Assumed full responsibility for the maintenance, operation & inventory
control of all hydraulic plants such as Valve Actuators, Cranes, Mooring Winches, Steering gears.
Held welfare, health, security, safety & environment officer meeting in
the engine room.
In charge in maintenance & supervision of life saving & fire fighting
equipments in engine room.
In charge in keeping ordering & inventory of the stores & special tools.

2008-2009 American Eagle Tankers
As Chief Engineer, reported to Technical Superintendent ashore.
Overall in charge of technical matters and maintenance planning.
In charge of maintenance planning and inventory control.
In charge of fuel & lubricant consumption and voyage planning.
As appointed Safety Officer onboard, responsible for training and upkeep of Safety culture as per Company Policy.
Trainer of Permit to Work System and Risk Assessment Exercises.
Budgetary controller for spares, maintenance & shore assisted repairs.


SPECIAL PROJECTS EXPERIENCE

2006 Main engine repair project for Hellas Marine’s 20,000ton ship.
Saved operation cost for the owner by ensuring ship’s engine readiness
to sail out and by minimising operational delays.

2007 Docking and conversion project of 16,000 tons chemical/palm oil tanker
to petroleum product tanker and taking over of 100,000 tons petroleum
crude oil tanker from third party.
Start up and Implementation of Computerised planned maintenance
System and Safety Management System.
Planning and preparing ship for Nippon Kaiji Kyokai class surveys and
company audits.
Preparing ship for Oil Major Vetting Inspections and Customers’ audit
to ensure ship is accepted and marketable.
Cost saving measures by making sure all repairs and conversion work
completed within schedule.

2008 Yard supervision and delivery of 46,000 ton petroleum
product/chemical tanker for AET Shipmanagement (M). from STX
Shipbuilding Corp., Korea.
Plant commissioning and machinery trials with attending makers.
Preparation of the new ship for trading by attending to Korean Registry
& Det Norske Veritas surveys.
Prepared the ship for U.S Coast Guard Inspection, internal audits & Oil
Majors Vetting Inspections.
