HSSE Operations – Management Consultant British Gas Tunisia May 2006 to Present day
Responsibilities: (Dates overlap due to providing consultancy between shifts and rotations with KPO)
Providing operational safety, response and emergency services as a manager and advisor; roles and responsibilities and services cover the management and maintenance and training of the three levels of emergency response, running MEM Courses, providing OIM and Levels 1, 2 and 3 Response Teams assessments to OPITO Standards, authoring incident management plans and bridging. Overall responsibility for reviewing and training and implementing a revised ICS and HSSE for Onshore and Offshore operations. Working directly for the VP Operations, and reporting to the VP HSSE for BGT.
Responsible for implementing ICS and HSSE requirements for all operational and project requirements on a rich gas treatment installation, Offshore production and well drilling activity. Extensively involved in the phases during building installation and commissioning and hook up of a new platform, the tie-in of the new wells, undersea pipelines and risers. Responsible for the planning and implementation of all HSSE and ER requirements required for the plant shutdowns and other operational activity.
HSSE Operations – Management Consultant Karachaganak Petroleum Organisation (KPO)

Responsibilities:
Operating in a very high H²S environment and complex project; working with the Project Safety and Management Team in close liaison with the RoK National Authorities, overall responsibility for training and implementing a complete and revised ICS in tandem with the HSSE IMS for the Karachaganak Field, to include Tiers 1 and 2 oil spill response training and planning and operational response export pipelines to Russia and processing facilities at Orenburg, the 635-km export pipeline to Atyrau via Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) system and the export pipeline Karachaganak-Bolshoi Chagan-Atyrau.
Developed and implemented ERPs for the major development phase of the project, or Phase Two, commenced in 2000. As well as the construction of new facilities for gas and liquids processing and gas injection, Phase Two included enhancement of the facilities inherited from the Soviet era, the work-over of more than 100 wells and the construction of a 120 MW power station and the gas and liquids separation and re-injection plants
Worked in close liaison with Agip KCO Kashagan Project Management Team and RoK Oblast Authorities.

Managed a response team and provided professional services in safety and security and advice for the pipelines and E&P operations both on and offshore.

Corporate, - Performed an Operational control and function; managing personnel, The Conservation Facility and warehouse, including the control and registration of ‘The Collection’ consisting of 6,000 artefacts, security and disaster recovery & evacuation / continuity planning, working with the press and media and overseeing all media archive and material, maintenance of the corporate Web Site and provision of all imagery, operational planning, implementation and exploitation of all expeditions, liaison with the exhibition designers and venues including the co-ordination of the installation of the artefacts.
Dive & Salvage Division, - managing maritime salvage and recovery operations worldwide, conducting research and diving operations on the wreck of the Titanic and other ship wrecks. In addition, responsible for logistics, onboard and local country security, all matters concerning personnel, customs and importation and ‘landing’ of recovered artefacts and liaison with government agencies worldwide. During his time with the Company since 1992, completed a total of 22 dives to the wreck of the Titanic, as an experienced diver has worked as an underwater cameramen and the footage been used in numerous documentaries including those produced by the BBC, Channel 4, CBS, NBC, History Channel, Discovery and National Geographic.

As Director of Operations, responsible for a budget of US$2 Million, operating with the French Company IFREMER (The French Institute of Research and Exploration of the Sea), co-ordinating the preparation of the 1993 and 1994 Research and Recovery Expeditions to dive on the wreck of the R.M.S Titanic and successfully completing 47 dives. Implemented and managed the onboard and shore side security of the artefacts and maintained the photographic inventory, establishing the Company archives in New York. Planned and liaised with exhibition venues for R.M.S Titanic, Inc. including the planning for the 1996 World Tour.

Corporate Security & Anti-Terrorist/ Piracy (& Maritime Security) Consultant,
August 1992 - May 1993
Directly responsible to and required to deputise for, the Managing Director of the European and local Chinese staff of a small and highly diverse Investigation and Security Company, with a client base throughout Asia, the USA, Canada and the UK. Conducted Corporate Security & Anti -Terrorist/ Piracy (& Maritime Security) operations including underwater construction and NDT assessments and provided advice and training. Designed and implemented customised IT systems and software collation and information systems for both in house use and for marketing as a commercial product. Also as Corporate Security Officer responsible to the President and Chief Executive Officer for the corporate security of the Company, and the vetting of Company personnel throughout South East Asia. Trained and established teams for surveillance duties and civilian / commercial covert operations.
As the Senior Operations Director, was also required to manage a budget of US$ 1.5 million, 38 expatriate staff, purchase of equipment, formulate operational programmes, implement operational directives, report to and advise Senior Management and work within the tight financial budgets and constraints imposed.
