1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

Experienced Electronics Technician with over 5 years experience in the US Navy. Experienced instrument Technician for troubleshooting, installation and and repair for electronics and communication systems.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

 Primary troubleshooter for ships electrical and auxiliary equipment during normal watch, as well as during battle stations.
 Recorded and maintained logs of all equipment parameters ensuring accuracy using Microsoft word and excel.
 Was primary training auxiliary electrician, teaching the principles of equipment knowledge, log taking, and appropriate actions during troubleshooting.
 Tested time critical equipment during battle station situations including telephones and mass communication equipment. Tested circuit cards in hovering, missile compensation systems, rudder and planes PCUs.
 In charge of rigging and derigging procedures in port and returning to report. This included rigging shore phones, bridge communications and various navigation instruments such as radar, VMS, bridge to bridge radios, charts and radar deflectors.
 Experience in mooring operations for leaving and returning to port such as casting lines, throwing lines etc.
 First line of defense for equipment recovery during failures, fuse replacement, the shutting down and restarting of major ship’s systems.
 Served as a first line supervisor of electronic mechanics in maintenance operations on Nuclear Submarines communication and electronic navigational systems.
 Performed electrical/electronic maintenance on strategic weapon support systems; material safety data systems; electrostatic discharge considerations; navigation control consoles; sonar, global positioning, and gyroscopically stabilized navigation subsystems; optical equipment; subsystem calibration; and operation during refit and patrol.
 Minor experience with AC DC motors, including ships service turbine generators and ship service motor generators.
 In charge of all electrical components during surfacing and diving operations, including installation and testing of mass communication system, navigation piloting equipment and radar.
 Wrote, proved, and hung tags in accordance to appropriate documentation. First and second check for tag outs.
 Knowledge in appropriate electrical safety precautions, ensuring all measures are taken to prevent injury from electrostatic discharge. Supervised the set up of electrostatic safe work area and was in charge of getting all approvals needed to start work underway and in port.
 Supervised and repaired communication equipment on board including the testing and evaluation of sound powered telephone system, communication matrix, microphones, headsets, handsets, MC batteries, and speakers.
 Experience working in enclosed areas such as tanks and obtaining the proper permissions and procedures for entering a tank that has been gas freed, swiped for radioactive material, and proper disposal of water and oil.
Troubleshooting and Calibrations Petty Officer.
 Supervised and trained others in the accuracy and inventory of over 120 different calibration systems and tools.
 Arranged calibration exchanges, including packaging material, sending to appropriate receiver and inventory of new calibration equipment.
 Experience using Oscilloscopes (analog and digitizing), schematic drawings, flow charts, and various types of multimeters for testing and equipment evaluation. Skills in soldering including desoldering and usage of soldering equipment (soldering gun, solder wire brushes, solder removal equipment, etc), component replacement as well as circuit card ordering, packaging, and exchanges.
 Primary troubleshooter for PCUs, ships Navigation equipment such as signal generators, as well as tank level indication systems.
 Knowledge and familiarity in troubleshooting to component level using technical manual schematics and appropriate equipment.
 Knowledge and experience in a warehouse environment, stocking, equipment retrieval, supply and demand experience.

First Aid and CPR qualified.
