I have worked in the oil & gas industry for the last 15 years as a chef/manager or cook.
Currently I am working in the mining industry up north in western Australia as a Chef Supervisor on night shift with 13 staff under me and catering for 1200 personnel.

I got as far as year 12 in high school before leaving to join a customs agency but my passion has always been towards food. I joined the Australian Air-Force in 1985 as a cook and stayed in until 1991. I applied to the Western Australian Hospitality Board to get formal recognition of my trade. In 1993 I received my trade certificate.

I have been employed by Atwood Oceanics on their submersible rigs named the Eagle and Falcon. Also was employed on the barge named DB100 when Woodside was building its Goodwyn A Platform.
