| 1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory] |
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I have served 3 years offshore as a Seismic Observer, becoming part of an observer acquisition team, and earning responsibility for the team, both in and out of acquisition while accounting for and maintaining all their associated equipment.
I am passionate and diligent about my work, and like to be part of a professional team, I am always seeking to improve myself both personally and professionally, I enjoy the job and thrive on the daily challenges life in Marine Seismic brings.
I am proficient using MSX Ver.3 recording system together with Argus Tape Drive management system, DigiCourse bird control positioning system and Digishot Gun Controller interfaces, and was able to work unsupervised during acquisition on the M/V Scan Resolution 3D 4 x 6 streamer seismic vessel after 6months as a trainee.
I took an active role in training junior observers, raising new QHSE procedures and safe working practices for the observer department. I overseen and ran back deck operations during production whilst on shift on 2D contracts and 3D multi streamer in the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico.
After showing the pertinent skills required of a competent workboat crewmember I volunteered for a chance at gaining an FRC/workboat coxswains certificate, of which I now hold.
I would relish the chance to gain more experience with this skill.
In October 2008 I was promoted to Shift Leader Observer after helping to successfully re rig the M/V Scan Stigandi for seismic acquisition using Seal streamer and Seal recording equipment V.4, and Seisdrive tape control system for 2D and 3D operations offshore Cuba, Ecuador and Peru.
I returned to Peru as a contractor on the M/V Neptune Naiad with Nautic Offshore AS as an Observer operator for a 3D 4x6km contract for client BPZ
