I was working at sea 28 years and 16 years (1991 – 2007 – working for Wilhelmsen Marine Services, Oslo, Norway) on crude oil tankers size 100,000 and 150,000 DWT.
1991 – 1997 Chief Officer on crude oil tankers size 100,000 and 150,000 DWT
1997 – 2006 Master on crude oil tankers size 100,000 and 150,000 DWT,
including (1998 – 2000) shuttle tanker (with DP system) size 100,00DWT
on North Sea within UK sector (Banff Field).
Tankers were trading mostly between USA and North Sea or West Africa to USA (East Coast
and US Gulf) and were involved most of the time in Ship-to-Ship operation, loading and discharging on SBM / SPM, etc
November 2006 – January 2007 – Master of semi-submersible Heavy Lift vessel.
I have practice and experience concerning construction, conversion, new buildings, routine
and periodical shipyard’s ,maintenance.
Since April 2007 till now I'm working as Ballast Control Operator on MODU “Pride South Pacific” (I’m involved in Rig Move operations.) in West Africa region, to get as much as possible knowledge about off-shore work, however I'm still interesting in position more connected to my experience and qualifications.
