Seeking a position offering opportunity to demonstrate skills, abilities and room for advancement in the industrial field. I bring with me more than 20 years of mechanical experience within the oil/petrochemical field.

NCCER certified Boilermaker/Mechanic for oil and petrochemical refineries. Eager/willing to learn additional skill sets, willing to share my knowledge gained through my 20+ years as a mechanic with my peers. Available to work any shift required including swing shift and willing to work OT including weekends.
Skilled in the operation of overhead cranes from 10 ton to 50 ton, knowledgeable in safe work practices in pneumatic tools, power tools, band saws and various other hand tools used in the shop environment. Familiar with drill press operation, horizontal boring mills and lathes, used when needed. Also operate forklifts of various types, JLG man lifts of various types and sizes. Knowledge of basic rigging requirements such as rope straps, slings, and chokers for lifting in the removal and installation of piping and equipment. Knowledge of specifications for bolts, gaskets, sealants and other types of connections. Able to perform repairs on steam and water lines. Can properly identify the selection of valves, flow valves, and check valves. Able to repair chain operated valves, packing on valves and exchangers. Worked on furnaces and boilers with the proper techniques and methods to remove and install component parts. Know proper procedures of lockout, tag-out, with ability to pull blinds, bundles, channel heads, dollar plates in the SAFE manner. Work in confined spaces such as drums, vessels, towers, columns, using safe work practices, with good visual skills and the experience to determine when internal parts may need to be removed for repair.
