I worked at Ammonia Plant in FFC BIN QASIM LTD. DAP-UREA COMLEX designed by Bechtel Corporation USA having 1270 MTPD name plate capacity. Plant is fully equipped with most advanced Technology, controlled by DCS of Bailey Infi-90 USA.
I worked at Nitric Acid Plant in PAKARAB Fertilizer. Having capacity 1460 MTPD controlled system is PLC based. CDM Plant (Clean Development Mechanism) newly Erected with the cooperation of UNO for NOx and N2O ABATEMENT, First ever In Pakistan.
Now I am working at Ethylene Dichloride (EDC) & Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM) Plant with name Plate capacity of 230,000 MT of EDC and 204,000 MT of VCM.

IN DETAILS:
EDC/VCM Plant
I started working with this unit from scratch while Plant was under errection.
I participated,
Chemical Cleaning of Equipment with CR Asia.
Pre-commissioning activities.
Actual commissioning of Plant.
Currently operating Capacity EDC 128,000 and VCM 150,000 MT.
Plant comprises of following main Units/Equipments,
Low Temperature Chlorination Unit.
Oxy Chlorination Unit.
Purification Section for EDC comprises of four distillation Columns.
Two EDC Cracking Furnaces with HCL/VCM separation Columns.
Waste water treatment and Incinerations Area.
Two large Chillers Unit.
Centrifugals Air Compressor.
EDC/VCM Storage and Handling Area.
COMBUTION GAS TURBINE (FFBL)
Manufactured by GE Frame Five, Model LA 5001, 10MW
Driver of Synthesis Gas Compressor, Control System, Bailey Infi-90, Vibration System Bentley Nevada.
GAS COMPRESSION UNITS (FFBL)
Duel Train Synthθses Gas Compression Unit.
One compressor is driven by Gas Turbine, power 13400 HP.
Sec. Compressor is driven by Steam Turbine power 16290 HP.
Discharge pressure is 176 Kg/cm.
Ammonia Compressor & Refrigeration Loop
Cooper Besmer centrifugal compressor with 15 kg/cm2 & 1oC(Pressure & Temperature)
GE Steam Turbine With 7200RPM & 6900 rated HP & Trison Electronic governor.
Ammonia Synthesis Loop
Ammonia Converter operating pressure is 176 Kg/cm² and outlet Temp 346 ΊC. Ammonia Converter is S-200 series and Halder Topsqoe Catalyst is used.
Ammonia Recovery Unit.
This section recovers ammonia vapors from Purge gas of Synthesis Loop by absorption and distillation method. Section consists of high pressure stripping and Low-Pressure absorption. The absorption pressure is 7 Kg/cm² and stripping pressure is 19.5 kg/cm².

NITRIC ACID PLANT
Nitric Acid Plant (Pakarab Fertilizer Limited):
Nitric Acid is being prepared by under Oswald's Process and following optional parameter are used as under

NH3 Evaporator Air Compressors
NH3 Separator Centrifugal Pumps
NH3 strippers Hydraulic Pumps
Heat Exchangers Turbine Pumps
NOx and N2O ABATEMENT SYSTEM (CDM PLANT):
Errection, commissioning, start-up and shutdown experience of NOX n N2O system located at Pakarab Fertilizer Multan to control air pollution.
Handling 80000 NMC /hr flow.
Convert NOx and N2O in N2, O2 and H2O by cracking.
CHLORE ALKLY PLANT (Ittehad Chemicals Ltd Lahore)
D.S.A Cell Room (Mercury Cell) 170MTPD, Manual Controlled Plant. Control of concentration of NaOH, Analysis of Cl2 & H2 gas, Analysis of Na+IONS, Adjustment of volts, Control& Operation of Hg Pumps, Chemical handling.
NH3 & CHEMICAL HANDLING
Handling of Ammonia (240 Ton/Day) through Centrifugal Pumps (Discharge Pressure 12 Kg/Cm2) and NH3 Evaporator, NH3 Separator and NH3 Stripper are also used.
Handling of Nitric Acid (1200 m3/Day) by the Centrifugal Pumps (Discharge Pressure 10 kg/cm2) transfer to storage tank.
