PROJECTS EXECUTED

• Worked as a team member in Technological up gradation project in which KANUPP pneumatic based closed control loops were replaced with CEGELEC-ACEC CHANCE 2000 system. (Modular PLC, based on CPU186, having signal conditioning cards, Individual control modules and Digital & Analog I/O cards with communication facility. The application was developed using COGITO software-Graphical interface tool for application development.
• Involved in Installation & Commissioning of Desalination Plant in collaboration with Aqua clear (Pvt.) Ltd. Australia. The 100,000 GPD Reverse Osmosis Plant is controlled by Allen Bradley PLC having Rosemount pH, free residual CL, conductivity, Turbidity analyzers and other electronic transmitters.
• Developed application program for SIEMEN’S PLC to replaced Service Air dryer and Instrument Air dryer hardwired control logic.
• Worked as a team member from Instrumentation & Control side during overhauling of HITACHI STEAM TURBINE.
• Participate in installation & commissioning of Microprocessor Control Hermetic Centrifugal liquid Chiller (Make: Carrier 19EF, Capacity: 675 ton).

• SIEMENS LOGO SOFT (RELAYS & TIMERS PROGRAMMING)
• ALLEN BRADLEY SLC 5/03 MODULAR PLC ( RS-LOGIX )
• PROGRAMMABLE CONTROLLERS OF VARIOUS MANUFACTURER, (YOKOGAWA, OMEGA, JUMO & FANWEL).

Instrument & Control Technician
Worked from 2006 to date as an INSTRUMENT & CONTROL TECHNICIAN in A Power Plant at Karachi with following responsibilities.
• Planning and Organizing the Maintenance functions. This involved leading a team of technicians in break down maintenance and during troubleshooting needs.
• Responsible to look into the Instrumentation & Control side for its chronic problems.
• Supervised the jobs of Instrument and control during preventive and protective maintenance.
• Understand Electrical & Control Elementary diagrams, P&I diagrams. Fully conversant of all plant Design Specification and design data.
• Involved in calibration of transmitters, switches, indicators, recorders, positioners and control valve stroking.
• Air dryer/compressors instrumentation
• Calibration and maintenance of pressure, temperature, level and flow transmitters,
Gauges, switches, regulators.

• Use of, electronics, pneumatics and hydraulics based instruments.

• Trouble shooting of control loops and protective systems, boilers, turbine &
Generators conventional systems.

• Perform preventive maintenance work on instruments through their procedures.

• Can handle instrumentation tools like dead-weight tester, pneumatic and hydraulic.
Pumps, power sources, oscilloscope, multimeters etc.

• Working experience on pneumatics and electric actuators.

• Control valves stroking and positioning.

• Air supplies and control signals tubing work with compression quick fittings.

• Supervising of i&c maintenance, installation and calibration jobs.

• Review the changes and modifications in system controls.
