Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (4 years).

I have 5 years of experience in India and the Arabian
Gulf in Field Instrumentation and Control Systems with extensive
experience in the Refinery and Oil & Gas plants. I have hands on
experience in Construction, Pre-commissioning & Commissioning.

Position: Instrument & Control System Supervisor
Commissioning and Start Up Department (CSU).

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Reporting to Instrument and Control Superintendent / Commissioning Manager.
• Populating the instrumentation data base in ICAPS from subsystem wise marked up P&IDs, Cable schedules, DCS System Cable schedules and Intools data to prepare Status index and Basic Function details by subsystem/system wise.
• Prepare, review and verification of Cable schedules, Operational Test Procedures, PFD, P&ID, and Cause and effect Matrix.
• Review and prepare the Purchase Orders for the test equipments for field instrumentation, for Fire and Gas instrument Functional test and verifying materials as per packing list and coordinating with ware house for proper storage and controlled issuing.
• Lead the ICSS (PCS, PSS, SSS and FGS) Site Acceptance Test with control system Vendors including the preparation of full documentation and dossiers required for the SAT test, Preparation of As-Built and red line mark up documents as per the site engineering modification.
• Lead the Pre-commissioning activities and to make sure the ICAPS test sheets and check list and completed and the subsystem/system is ready for commissioning (RFC).
• Prepare and lead the team with loop folders and test equipments required for the loop check and Functional test, Sequence/Logic Test and Operational Test.
• Lead and participate in Functional test, Operation Test, Cause & Effect Matrix test, Full Load test run and 72 hours performance test of units and equipments.
• Field Pre-Commissioning/Commissioning activities for different vendor packages/skids for Nitrogen Generation package/Air Compressors/Air Dryers/Gas Turbines according to the relevant Functional analysis/logic diagrams/sequence diagrams/interfaces with package vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Reporting to Construction/Pre-Commissioning Manager.
• Responsible for the construction and Pre-Commissioning activities for field instrumentation, Instrument Technical Room and Main Control Room.
• Familiar with various check list and test sheets forms associated with specific tasks and the follow up and completion in the progress monitoring software WINPCS.
• Review of Various Vendor documents, P&IDs, Intools Database, Loop diagrams, Cause & Effect Matrix, Safe Charts and Installation drawings.
• Inspection of Vendor supplied materials with relevant purchase orders and packing lists.

Duties:

• Reporting to Construction/Pre-Commissioning Site Superintendent.
• Review and understand various installation drawings for the Reactor, Purification Units, Silo and Vent Gas recovery Units.
• Supervising Installation of field instruments as per the relevant location layouts and P&ID.
• Supervising and managing the Multi pair cable installation from the Main Control room to individual Plant Interface building and to the field Junction boxes as per the latest available cable schedule.
• Raising the Request for inspections as soon as each stage of the work is been completed and clearing the QA/QC documentations.
• Supervising and planning the Control Room/Plant Interface Building Marshalling Panel field wiring terminations.
• Participate in the site acceptance test and QA/QC inspections and strictly ensuring the work is being carried out with all respect to the approved site quality plans.
