Document Controller

Member of the Programme Management Team within the Project Controls Team.

Responsible for the day to day running of the Document Control Centre.

Responsibilities include:

The roll out of Primavera Contract Manager Suite. Implementation of the agreed Work Breakdown Structure.

Creating the filing index as per the Work Breakdown Structure. Capture all historic information / documentation prior to the inception of the Primavera suite on the programme.

Generated process flow charts for Document control activities.

Created distribution matrices for various document types.

Issuing of all relevant drawings to contractors and external project managers.

Capture of all project related documentation. The implementation of all necessary procedures to ensure that Document Management is carried out effectively.

Management of the document control distribution function to ensure that all documents received are properly controlled and maintained within master records.

Liaised with the CAD team to ensure all revisions are captured, signed off and transmitted to all relevant parties.

Accurately allocate and control the numbering of documents and drawings produced on the project. Provided hands on approach to support to all team members.

Site Document Controller

Member of the Site Management Team, responsible for the day-to-day Document Control activities & various progress reports.

Responsibilities include:

Controlling controlled documents (Technical documents)

Handling of Technical Documentation for Site; Maintenance of all Technical Registers relevant to Site

Liaised with lead in H.O. Implementation of Site Project Procedures; filing, copying and administration of all Documentation and continuous liaison with all project personnel.

Collating & updating information for reports from information given from relevant discipline engineers.

Populating E.D.M.S (livelink) with all project/site related data.

Retrieve data from E.D.M.S for distribution to engineers and contractors.

Plotting of all for construction drawings for the drawing office, contractor and responsible engineers.

Ensuring project information is easily retrievable.

Ensured site team members are provided with adequate support to enable them to successfully use the systems.

Ensure the timely turn around of documentation issued internally or received externally. Prepare superseded documentation for archive, hard copy & electronically.


MC&C Completions Coordinator / Document Controller

Initially based Onshore United Arab Emirates, was a member of the Commissioning Team during Fabrication, Construction & Commissioning of the Nowrooz and Soroosh Platforms. Later mobilised Offshore Iran during Commissioning and Start-up of the Platforms to assist compiling Handover Documentation. Whilst involved in these Projects, responsibilities included:

Liaise with Project Engineers & Project Planners Onshore.

The receipt of Project Certification, the input into Database upon Completion.

The filing of Certification in the relevant System Dossiers.

Updated the Construction/Commissioning Plan.

Handling of all Project Site Instructions, Anomaly Reports, Site & Technical Queries, and PSV Certification. Preparation & Copying of Work Test Packs.

Distribution of correspondence from Management to/from Contractor.

Generating various types Document Registers and Tracking Forms.

Custodian for all Vendor Documentation.

Preparation of Management Reports from MC&C Database i.e. Status on outstanding check sheets, & Punch List Items.

Preparation of Weekly Reports i.e. Reports on various tracking information regarding work completed by Engineers and Technicians.

Maintained Project As Built Drawings. Review of Commissioning Dossiers.

Providing Completion Status of Commissioning Dossiers/Procedures.

Involved in the Handover of Documentation/Commissioning Dossiers to final Client.


Assistant MC&C Completions Coordinator / Document Controller

Initially based onshore South Africa, was a member of the Site Commissioning Team during the Construction, Mechanical Completion and Commissioning Phases of the Project. Later mobilised Offshore with the Commissioning Team during the Commissioning and Handover of the Vessel to the Operations Group.

Responsibilities included:

The receipt of Project Certification, the input into Database upon Completion.

The filing of Certification in the relevant System Dossiers.

Updated the Construction / Commissioning Plan.

Preparation of Work Packs.

Handled Offshore Rota & Heli flights for Hook up and Commissioning Group.

Co-ordinated the Travel Logistics for ex-pat and local labour with Onshore base in Cape Town and Bluewater HQ, Hooffdorp, Nederlands.

Liaised with Project Engineers and Project Planners Onshore
