1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
I have been working in the oil field for 18 years working my way through a medical background and then onto more HSE related roles including RSTC. My first employment was with Penrod (now Ensco) working on a number of their jack up rigs mainly in the north sea, then moving onto Sedco Forex where I learnt a lot of my trade and it was suggested that I should move onto Safety / RSTC role. I am a hand’s on HSE person who likes to get things done in a safe and professional manner and am fully aware of the issues that HSE personnel come across on a daily basis, I have learnt my trade from the bottom up and can easily put myself in situations that the HSE crew and upper management face and offer solutions and guidance where required and certainly know how to run a good efficient safety department. You would find me a team player who firmly believes in the pyramid management system and am of the opinion that no information is discussed or decisions made without informing the Rig Manager and PIC / OIM.
2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]
I have worked for a number of years with both crew members and management alike and have no issues or favoritism for either in resolving issues or making decisions. My main role with my present employer is to mentor and train HSE personnel
(both Expat and National) for new builds and refurbished rigs prior to work on contract, this includes setting up the HSE office, training of the crew – matrix Etc, policies and procedures both compliance and writing of, HSE routine, safety and equipment checks, preparing and taking safety meetings, preparation for audits and auditing our rigs personally when required, safety administration and any other issues which affect the running of the rigs and making sure they run as smoothly as possible foreseeing any problems before they arise.
This also includes advising Rig Management when required.
I am used to working with local National crew members and can show good patience when working and mentoring them and have a lot of experience in the South East Asia region understanding the way things operate and have only just left the area last November as my company thought I was needed elsewhere to help start up a new contract for one of our rigs.
3. Education & Training - CV/Resume Part 3 [Mandatory]
I hold a NEBOSH and Offshore Rig Medics certificate along with the Kelvin Top Set Lead Incident Investigator.

5. Other Skills - CV/Resume Part 5 [Optional]
I have no doubt in my mind that I have the ability, experience and the knowledge to be a good, honest, hard working HSE manager / Advisor who will get the job done in a firm and friendly manner and more importantly as part of a team.
6. Additional Information - CV/Resume Part 6 [Optional]
