1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
I live in Abilene, TX. I am seeking a position as an MWD Field Engineer Trainee that will allow me to utilize both my oilfield and customer service experience. I have been working in the crude oil transportation business for over 5 years now and have gained a wealth of knowledge about the oilfield. As things are starting to pick up I think it is a good time and I am ready to move on and learn new things in the oilfield. I really enjoy working with computers and learning new things on them and with new technology being discovered every year I want to get my foot in the door now and learn all I can.
I have taken a particular interest in the MWD line of work, all the research I have done about how the measurement while drilling technology is utilized in the directional drilling process is very interesting and I think this kind of work would be a great fit for me and a good place to start. I have 3 generations of oil field in my blood, this may not mean much to some, but for me it gives me the extra confidence to do anything I want out here, I have the ability to do it, I just need to be taught. Having experienced first hand how difficult it can be to find a good honest, hard working hand, I was raised with a strong work ethic and can offer you my ambition and drive. I am looking for a company that is willing to give me a chance and can train me with the latest technology, if you decide to give me a chance, you will not regret it! I have attached a copy of my resume, please have a look at it and give me a call if you have any questions.
“There is no substitute for hard work.”
2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]
Dispatcher Duties Include: Efficiently arranging the pickup and delivery of Crude Oil and condensate for 35 trucks spread out across West Texas and New Mexico. I must maintain our dispatch program and complete all daily reports and have them emailed out in a timely manner. I must enter all incoming data into our dispatch program without error, also deal with all issues from customers and drivers and be ready to adapt to changes through out the day. This position requires some mathematical skills, we must calculate our loss/gains for each unload station, we are also required to figure meter readings to determine how much oil was moved each day. Dispatch is responsible for the sulfur content in each unload station each month; this means we must calculate the sulfur content in each load we haul. This is very important because when you buy oil at a sweet price and sell it for a sweet price you don’t want to haul too many sour loads in and turn your unload station sour and have to sell all your sweet oil at a sour price.
Transport Driver Duties Include: Haul crude oil from lease sites to pipeline stations. Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations. I must operate equipment on vehicle to load, unload and disperse cargo or materials. Clean, inspect and service vehicle. Must also have knowledge on how to test the oil to determine if it is pipeline quality.

6. Additional Information - CV/Resume Part 6 [Optional]
In July of 2008 I created a “master dispatch map” of Texas and New Mexico; this made it possible for me to plot each load on this map to get a better understanding of where each lease is located. Once I had all the leases plotted I saved the company money on fuel costs and wear and tear on the trucks, it also decreased the “dead head” miles for the drivers.
