As a brief introduction of myself, I have been in active private legal practice as an advocate & solicitor in Malaysia for about 14 years, covering areas such as corporate conveyancing, property conveyancing, contracts law, commercial law, company law, IP law and civil litigation/arbitration/alternative dispute resolutions.. In particular, in the past 5 years, I have been actively specializing in area of oil & gas related contracts (eg. EPIC contracts/sub-contracts covering areas such as bidding documents, variation/change orders, liquidated damages, procurement, delay, arbitration/mediation/negotiation, insurance, compliance on terms and conditions, milestone payment claims, etc. and related corporate exercise eg. Profit sharing agreements, co-operation agreements, joint ventures, consortium agreements, MoUs, acquisition & merger, etc.) and maritime/shipping law as external lawyer advising and drafting of related contracts for a numbers of oil & gas clients, either locally or abroad. I have received formal tertiary education in UK Maritime Law during my university's days in Cardiff Law School, University of Wales.

Further, I have about 2 years experience as an appointed councilor in a 800-staff local town council involved in committees such as, town planning, tender, legal, finance, licensing and human resources.

I believe my legally sound background and proven leadership qualities will stand me in good stead to undertake the job as offered to your company's satisfaction. For your information, I am currently drawing about RM15K to RM20K per month and I am negotiable in term of my expected salary. My reason of leaving my current job is I have been in private practice for more than 10 years and I feel it is the right time for me (experience-wise and confidence-wise) to seek more specialized and challenging career path in a purely oil & gas MNC as an in-house legal adviser in Singapore. I. Pre-professional Stage (part-time)

Position held : Legal clerk

- Responsibilities include filing, monitoring and drafting of letters for lawyers.
- Liaised with litigants and clients for litigation as well as conveyancing matters.
- Assisted lawyers in research works and getting up of a few litigation cases as well as corporate and conveyancing matters.


II Professional Stage (full-time)

Position held : Pupil under the compulsory 9 months pupilage before admission
to the Malaysian Bar

a) Litigation Department

- Exposed to wide range of civil and commercial litigation matters especially in areas of banking, land, guarantee and bankruptcy.

Special Work Experience on the Oil and Gas Industry (about 5 years)
(i) Vetting, Perusing and Advising on various Terms and Conditions of the bid contracts/Purchase Orders of the clients’ bid for O & G projects (local and international). To-date, records would show that I have a fair numbers of projects under my name, those Terms and Conditions of which were meticulously and critically vetted and analysed.

(ii) Good experience and exposure to EPCIC Contracts during tendering, project execution stage as well as disputes situation.
