CCIC CP-17 PROJECT NDIA (New Doha international Airport) Doha, Qatar January 2010- Present

As a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Officer I am responsible for the safety requirements pertaining to the Control Tower & associated facility buildings i.e. Balloon Release Building, Meteorology Building, Radio Receiver Building and Transmitter buildings.
My job is to Assist the ES&H Manager and involves:-

(1) The management and strict implementation of the Company Safety Manual in conjunction with the Clients’ and OBIs’ International Safety Standards and Regulations.
(2)Monitor Site Safety Officers performance and ensure that all works carried out were in accordance with the existing EH&S Procedures.
(3)Conduct regular site inspections to identify safety and job related problems, hazardous areas, and working conditions. Recommend appropriate measures to the Management to improve safety conditions of the Project.
(4) Promoting and implementing security, and health measures at the project with a view of preserving company and subcontractor personnel and equipment from accident and damage
(5) Act as the Section Safety Training officer and arrange and conduct training sessions accordingly.


Delta Contractors and Constructions (from December 2001 to March 2007)

Handling site safety jobs of steel erections, Risk assessment, Familiarize with tool box talks, Rebar constructions, Safety audits, Excavations, detection of hazardous substances, Incident & accident Reporting procedures. Familiarize with scaffolding of CITB standards, evacuation methods, Accident & incident reporting, Multi stored buildings, flyovers, Bridges and Roads etc.


Surya Offshore – Onshore Explorations (from February 1994 to November 2001)

Handling with Offshore & Onshore safety Surveillance equipment like Gas detectors, Gas monitors, Life jackets, and life boats. Safe procedure while Scaffolding erections, Steel erections strictly follow up of Clint Safety policy and procedure, familiarize with all permit to work procedure, daily safety reports, risk assessment, accident and incident investigation, safety Inspections and auditing procedures, familiarize with H2S and other toxic substances, material handling safe procedures especially Chemicals and other toxic materials, Heavy lifting etc.

NEBOSH NATIONAL GENERAL CERTIFICATE 2009
• Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment in 1992
• Familiarized with NEBOSH, OSHA & Safety Surveillance Equipments.
• First Aid certificate course in Industrial Fire and Safety training centre in India
• BLS First Aid Course – Hamad International Training Centre – Doha, Qatar
• Attended OBI Supervisor Leadership Training Course
• Attended CCIC “Train the Trainer” course
