1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

Presently working as Mechanical Engineer at Jacobs Engineering Group, Houston, TX. I hold a Masters Degree in mechanical engineering from University of Texas and Registered Professional Engineering (PE) license from the state of Texas.

My responsibilities at Jacobs include review client specification, perform thermal design of exchangers (HTRI and HTFS), prepare data sheets, perform mechanical design calculations (RCS, Code Calc, Compress) , generate drawings (AutoCAD), prepare inquiry/purchase packages, prepare technical bid tabulation, review vendors’ drawing/calculations, perform expansion joint calculations, perform Vibration Analysis using Xvib, re-rate existing equipments, review P&IDs, attend Pre-inspection meetings at suppliers’ shop, provide project progress report to lead, update equipment list, interface with clients and vendors. I have prepared inquiry package and reviewed vendor data and calculations for pressure vessels also. Few of the projects I’ve worked on are- Eclipse Project, ExxonMobil, Baytown, Texas; Valero CC MSAT II Strategy Project; Lyondell Alliance; OCC Hydro treating Revamp Project, BP, Whiting, Indiana; Crude Expansion Project, Motiva, Port Arthur, Texas. In addition to that I have presented technical training sessions, coordinated mechanical engineering department trainings and mentored new engineers as well.

While at Furnace Improvements, I performed calculations for Fired Heaters in compliance with API 660 and API 530, prepared revamp work proposal etc.

While at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., I oversaw engineering and safety operations, coordinated preventive maintenance and led 21 members team for LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) bottling plant.

I have very good knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div 1(Rules for Construction of Pressure Vessels), Section V (Nondestructive Examination), Section IX (Welding and Brazing Qualifications codes), and B16.5, B31.3 API 660, 661, 662, 530, 560 codes and TEMA standards
