CV/Resume Details

1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

Dear Sir/Madam

I am a licensed airfcraft engineer with extensive experience with Gas Turbines (20 years in total, 10 of which have been licensed).

I am looking for a change of career path and would very much like to be considered for the vacancy advertised for the post of Gas Turbine Engineer.

I can forward copies of all my qualifications by return.

I look forward to hearing from you in due course.

I have been working in the aviation industry since leaving school nearly 20 years ago. I obtained my full engineering licence in 2000. I have worked with Gas Turbines for this length of time.

Whilst my experience is aircraft based, I do have qualifications and experience on gas turbine engines.

I appreciate that my full qualifications may not be fully understood in the oil industry but would be extremely willing to speak to a technical operative and explain my experience.

My duties cover all aspects of engine and airframe maintenance on Boeing 737 - 200-500 series, including Line A checks, B checks and heavy maintenance C checks. I have also run “away from base” line operations and flying engineer duties with airline aircraft globally. The Company has also supported airline line operations for Jet 2, Thompson and Palmair flying out of Bournemouth International Airport.

Unfortunately, due to the current economic climate, my role has been made redundant and I am currently working my notice.

FLS Aerospace, Manchester October 1994 - March 1995

I was employed as a fitter on hanger maintenance on the following aircraft types: Boeing 737, MD80, DC10 and Airbus A320.

I left this position due to the opportunity of the above post.

FLS Aerospace, Lasham/Bournemouth July 1990 - October 1994

This position was part of a four year apprenticeship. I undertook one year full time further education and three years on job training with formal classroom training sessions at Lasham’s Education Centre.
