I am a 23 year old mariner. I currently hold my 100gt Inland Masters, 150gt Inland Mates, OUPV Near Coastal, OS, Whipper, and Stewards. I grew up in sailing and fishing in Pensacola, FL and the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. For the last year I have been living and working on the waters of Seattle WA, Prince William Sound and Southeast Alaska. I have earned my license out here, and am grateful for the education and experience. I enjoy working in the marine industry and think I would be an excellent employee for your company. • We provide passenger and freight transportation to tanker ships and other marine vessels in the Puget Sound area.
• I perform daily engine checks, and equipment maintenance. I assist with vessel operation, the loading and off loading of pilots, agents, and others needing assistants to and from vessels, as well as the loading and off loading of vessel stores.

• Vessel duties - I performed hourly engine and security rounds. Under direction of the Chief Mate and Chef Engineer I was also responsible for the maintenance and appearance of vessel including but not limited to painting, varnishing, bunkering fuel and water, taking on ship’s stores, and handling mooring lines.
• Bridge duties included assisting the officer on watch with steering, chart work, lookout and use of bridge electronics.
• Safety duties – I performed duties of Emergency Station Bill for drills and actual emergencies that include fire, flooding, man overboard, abandon ship, medical, and spill response.
• Guest Services – As a passenger vessel I had a lot of interaction with guests including assisting guests at gangway, servicing staterooms, and keeping lookout for wildlife.
