1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a Petroleum Geologist with experience in 2D-3D seismic interpretation as well as structural balancing, restoration and modeling. I believe that my experience in complex geological settings, teamwork skills and passion for learning will enable me to make a positive contribution in the company where I will be working.
My previous employment was with the Venezuelan Oil Company (PDVSA), where I worked within the Prospects Generation Team. My responsibilities included generating 2D/3D structural models to support the location of exploratory and appraisal wells. My main achievements were to build the structural model of four exploratory areas located in Venezuela and Bolivia, as well as generating eight prospects. I was also a member of the team for petroleum system modeling which used the structural reconstruction as an input for understanding the basin evolution and addressing the risks related to migration fairways, timing and sealing capacity. Additionally, I have knowledge of SeisWork, Carisma, Gocad, Geosec and Lithotech among other software. Some of my work has been published in technical meetings and in a geological journal.
Despite my almost 6 years experience, the projects I have participated in as well as my Masters Degree have provided me with an adequate understanding of structural geology and basin dynamics, which will enable me to add value to the Exploration & Production department of your client.
