CV/Resume Details

1. Summary (Cover Letter) - CV/Resume Part 1 [Mandatory]

Subject: Employment

Dear Sir/Madam:

I am writing to express my interest in the position you have advertised. My resume is enclosed for your
review and consideration.

I have been a practicing engineer for 25 years and believe my experience uniquely qualifies me for the
position. The first 5 years of my career were spent working for an oil and gas company where I was deployed
to Alaska, offshore California and western Colorado. In this position I was an electrical design engineer as
well as a field engineer for oil and gas construction projects. I began the last 20 years of my career as a design
engineer, moved into a project manager position and am now a principal.

I presently manage a highly talented
group of designers, engineers and project mangers that I assembled and trained. In addition to managing the
group, I maintain a project design load where I design projects from conceptual one line development to
circuiting of equipment and everything in between. I am proficient with the tools of our trade including MS
Office products, SKM Power Tools, COMcheck energy code compliance calculations, Visual lighting design
software and many more tools. I am very involved in Green building design through the LEED certification
process. As a principal in the company I have had the opportunity to manage and set the path of the firm.

I am a registered professional engineer in over 40 states, a Colorado Master Electrician and a LEED
Accredited Professional. I have designed and managed multi-million dollar projects for many high profile
companies including the Walt Disney Company, MCI Communications, Merrill Lynch and the United States
Air Force Academy. I am very well organized, a forward thinker and have always been a solid team member.
As you will see in my qualifications, I am very experienced in managing projects and people and I have a
thorough understanding of construction techniques in various environments.

After a very successful tenure in my current position it is time to move on to a new opportunity. I have been
around the electrical industry my entire life from my early teen years working as an electrician’s helper with
my father to my current position as a Professional Electrical Engineer. My experience has prepared me to be a
design engineer, project manager, department lead, owner’s representative, etc. Thank you for taking the time
to review my qualifications. I look forward to hearing from you.

2. Work Experience - CV/Resume Part 2 [Mandatory]

Dynamic, competitive, caring and accomplished professional engineer. Broad based electrical
engineering experience in commercial building systems and the oil and gas industry. Adept in
developing and managing designers and engineers. Managed millions of dollars of design
projects, developed and maintained strong client relationships and managed a profit center in a
very successful engineering consulting firm.

 Transformed an unprofitable cost center and molded it into an extremely
productive and profitable unit in a very difficult industry.
 Established a management philosophy of hiring the right person for the position
and provided a working environment conducive for success, while never
forgetting a manager must work harder for the employee than he/she works for
the firm.
 Oil and gas experience including design and construction of production facilities
for gas fields in Alaska, offshore oil platforms and secondary recovery water
injection systems in western Colorado.
 Commercial project experience includes hospitality, high rise residential, large
office complexes, tenant finish and data centers.
