Current Position: Marine / CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
Engineer.

Current Activities:
• Implementation of maintenance strategy for CMMS in order to achieve safe & efficient operation of facilities with cost effective manner & to deliver Safety, Integrity, Productivity expectations.
• Defining classification societies (ABS/Lloyds/DNV) & Flag states requirements within CMMS (Maximo), so that facilities under Prosafe conform to Regulations and Acceptable industry standards.
• To introduce continuous optimisation and improvement of maintenance plan on asset based on operating experience.
• To develop and implementing the required information into the CMMS for new projects, which include but not limited to criticality assessment, spare parts, insurance spare parts, consumables, maintenance instructions, service agreements with vendors, technical documentation for operation, maintenance techniques (preventive maintenance, condition monitoring and RBI) etc
• To create within the company an in-house ability to develop, implement, & manage contemporary maintenance management strategy to suit future projects.

New Building / Technical Superintendent (2008)

• Served as company representative during construction of two Oil/Chemical tanker (M.T Braken & M.T Vidden) from Fukuoka Ship Building Company, Japan.
• Carried out Vessel survey along with classification surveyor, including Block Inspection, Painting application & Machinery installation.
• Attended shop inspection of machineries & sea trial of vessel, reported defects observed for rectification. Ensured all technical and company standards were met.
• Sailed with the vessel on her maiden voyage as Technical superintendent.
• Prepared vessel to carry out vetting inspections by various oil majors.
• Ensured proper inventory control and optimum stock level maintenance.
• Managed change of management for Bulk carrier MT Triton Eagle, including satisfying flag state & classification requirements, crew change formalities, Vessel inspection report.


Chief Engineer (Onboard, 2007)
• Lead the engineering department, with responsibility for all equipment and personnel.
• Supervised operations of the main propulsion plant, the generation plant, and the steam plant.
• Supervise preventive maintenance and repair works to be carried out in the most efficient manner in accordance with planned schedules & budget allocations and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Job responsibilities also included dealing with Class issues, Certification Surveys, audit inspections prior to surveys / vetting inspections by oil majors to ensure compliance with all international regulations, including emission and water pollution control, safe operation of vessels as per company’s safety, health & environmental policies and STCW.


Second Engineer (2005-2007)
• Supervised overall safe & efficient operation of the machineries on board, including the propulsion plant, power generation plant, boilers, diesel generators, fans, pumps, HVAC, waste water / water treatment systems, emissions, oil pollution control equipment and deck equipment.
• Monitored machineries to ensure efficient operation, to minimize fuel and oil consumption and to maximum availability of machinery at all times.
• Carried out Watch keeping duties as required.
• Assist in the administration of the engine department on a day-to-day basis & keeping the chief engineer informed of all developments.
• Support the overseeing of all machinery plant maintenance and repairs, ensuring that they are carried out safely and to an acceptable standard of workmanship.
• Efficient and economic use of spare equipment and update Maintenance Management System.

• In full charge of operating the ship while on shift, including propulsion plant, power plant auxiliary equipments.
