Position : Mechanical Engineer (Foundry/Fabrication)
Period : May 2004- April 2005
Employer : M/s Kerala Electrical and Allied Engineering Co. Ltd.
Clients : Railways, BEML, BHEL, ISRO, CGL, HMT, Qetcos; Defence, Aviation, Power Plants, Automobile.
Scope : Design & Manufacturing of Industrial castings (Automated & manual), Equipments and Packages,
DT & NDT testing, Patterns, Metallurgy study, analytical services, Soil & Chemical Labing.

Position Responsibilities on M/s. Kerala Electrical and Allied Engineering Co. LTD – Foundry/Fabrication Division:
􀂙 Reporting to Foundry Manager.
􀂙 Supervision, Co ordination, men & material Mgt. for Foundry and Pattern Shop (3 shift plant).
􀂙 Select and design appropriate component, Pattern, moulds, casting methods, testing plan (DT & NDT).
􀂙 Preparation of production plan, shut down plan, quantity estimate, borings estimate, energy, production & cost reports.
􀂙 Shift arrangement; target fixing, team fixing, lab control, defect identification, tracking and control.
􀂙 Production planning, scheduling, Work Allocation and execution & up keeping of work orders.
􀂙 Quality Inspection of product, Rotary Machines and packages, incoming raw materials, in process and finished goods.
􀂙 Prepare work instructions, Norms, manpower utilization statements and cost estimates.
􀂙 Maintenance of plant & machineries, Implementation of Corrective and Preventive action.
􀂙 Responsible for setup of m/cs, Training and Development of personnel in foundry and skill rating for labors.
􀂙 Indenting of shortfall and ensure the availability of labor, raw materials, Consumables, Spares etc.
􀂙 Undertake/inform scheduled, preventive, breakdown and day-to-day maintenance.
􀂙 Maintain office records, Material, Labor, Production, Maintenance and Work order logbooks.
􀂙 Responsible to conduct source inspection for suppliers, deal with quality related issues & establish component quality as
per specification/customer requirement.
􀂙 Maintain quality, productivity, safety & health, workspace mgt., ISO Standards & Conduct internal Audits.
􀂙 Co-ordination activities in connection with the inspection of products by Inspectors (RITES, ICF, RCF)/ Clients.
